District B13.
Pretty videogame-ish plot (hell, it was probably unintentionally more like double dragon than the actual DD movie was), but it was likable, had a cool soundtrack, simple yet not "empty" characters, an interesting take on the near future, and of course, some crazy-ass stunts and fights.

So thanks, whoever mentioned it a few pages back.
Good stuff.

I noticed a sequel has just been released too - I'll be having a look at that as soon as I can.

Blood: The Last Vampire (2009)

Parasomnia
(2008)

http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/162/parasomnia1.jpg

Laura Baxter is a young woman, literally a "sleeping beauty," who suffers from a medical condition called "parasomnia." A childhood accident victim, she is actually sleeping her life away, awakening briefly on rare occasions. Art student Danny Sloan falls in love with her, unaware that her hospital neighbor, a terrifying mass murderer and mesmerist named Byron Volpe has other, more sinister plans. Sloan helps Laura escape from her hospital prison only to discover that Volpe is about to enter her dreams.

An unusual and interesting horror-thriller from director William Malone. Kinda look like a Masters of Horror film and little flawed but overall a pretty fun entertainer with a nice weirdly surreal plot and a decent cast which includes Jeffery Combs as Detective Garrett in a supporting role.

Wow. Rob Zombie might just be cool after all. That was fucking great! Not to mention Myers actually ANNIHILATING people with the knife for once. Constant stabs. The ending was a bit bizarre, but expected. It actually gave me a bit of a 'Dark Knight' feel. One scene comes to mind.

7.5/10

Nice! Can't wait to check this one out. Doesn't look like NZ is getting a theatrical release atm :(

True Romance

Still a great flick although a bit uneven at times. Brought back some memories anyway. A couple of scenes would have to go down in a list of all time favorites for me.

I'm just glad that Zombie didn't go TOO far into bizarre stuff like in HO1000C. H2 was very Silence of the Lambs meets Halloween.

I Drink Your Blood (1970)

One of the very best exploitation features. A favorite.

In Cold Blood – The 1962 version, Robert Blake’s debut feature. Not a bad movie, but fairly slow and certainly dedicated to recreating everything about the crime and its aftermath. Not the best presentation of this story I’ve encountered.

The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford – Another somewhat slow one, but Brad Pitt’s Jesse James is pleasingly nuts and Casey Affleck’s Robert Ford is terrific. An interesting presentation of a good story.

Frailty (2001) - not really horror but a great suspense/thriller.

Let the Right One In (2008) - best vampire movie ever is an understatement. Second only to Nosferatu (1922).
