Quite enjoyable. The people who they interview who have actually eaten or at least tried human flesh are very open to it. They seem very prideful and almost find it humorous to be asked about eating the meat. Like 'yeah we eat people, don't you?'

I like the 'viewer discretion' warning between commercials. 'Contains nudity that some may find offensive'. Really. THAT'S what you're focused on? Not the butchering? XD

IKR - that is funny, the viewer warning neglects the human cannibalism...
But then again, that issue is explicit in the tittle, where one wouldnt assume nudity.

You wrote, "The people who they interview who have actually eaten or at least tried human flesh are very open to it.", you mean theyre very open to eating people, or talking about it?

So did the doc answer thee question? Why did they decide to eat human flesh?

I hope the doc doesnt accept 'curiosity', which doesnt really answer it... I mean, unless theyve tried eating EVERYTHING out of curiosity, theres a reason human flesh was chosen.

There wasn't really any nudity in it though. Just some topless ladies in only about one scene. The tribes interviewed were from the Rainforest, like in a National Geographic. It's easy to assume there's the chance of a naked boob or two.

Open to talking about it. But the way they talked about it they were probably open to trying it themselves. It's an old practice that only the eldest in the village have actually tried.

Lol, the question was a joke. They didn't actually ask him that. They butchered and cooked a pig, but no people. I was actually a bit disappointed.
The villagers weren't as savage as one might assume when you hear 'cannibals'. They only killed and ate people as revenge or if they were a ''magic man'' (their form of witch trials, kill and eat the witch). After Christianity was introduced by the white man, the practice of cannibalism is all but dead, save for those who have had the experience of tasting human flesh (which they describe as being similar to pig, no surprise).

I am curious to see if the guy who was doing all the interviewing would have tried human meat if he had been given the chance. Like if they had killed an enemy instead of a pig to serve for their welcome feast.

In the long run it was a very educational little film. I was reminded yet again to not judge a book by its cover. Or more accurately, a village by it's reputation. It's on Netflix if interested.

Im seeing the Vatican Tapes today since it's actually playing near me. I don't know when it is going to be widely released. It doesn't look very good, but I"m still giving it a shot.

Fantastic! Know somebody here who becomes highly offended at these images, and the truth too. ::big grin::
