Gran Torino at least deserve some nominations in up coming Academy Award including Best Actor category. :)

It's movies like this that remind me why I fell in love with horror in the first place.
Absolutely stunning in every way: terrifying, heart-wrenching, and deeply moving. A movie hasn't brought me this close to tears in a very long time.

It's really nice to know that you liked it that much. Some of my friends here who aren't a regular viewer or fond of horror films also had the same kinda opinion after they gave it a watch for my high recommendation. I think it was the best of the best (in horror genre) from 2008...even I liked it more than Let the right one in or [REC.].

Truely godawful film.Poor actting and a pitful story. And some decent gore scenes in it but other than that it was a pile of crap.

Last time I make a blind buy based on what bloody disgusting has to say.

The Last House in the Woods (2006)

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...CL._SY120_.jpg

The story follows a terrified woman as she escapes her would-be rapists by taking refuge with a kindly couple in the woods. However their quiet, secluded house holds a dark and depraved secret far worse than she ever knew before.

A low budget Italian tribute to 70's and 80's top notch gorefest & slasher films...not a good movie but not bad either! I think it's the best or the most watchable film from Ghost House Underground collection which has been released last year. Most of the films of this bunch were awful or you can say hardly mediocre in a positive approach.

"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" meets "The Last House on the Left"... at some points of time in this movie it surely reminds that.

Give it a watch if you are having some dull time, you'll have some fun for sure with it.

The Dreamers (2003)

A bizarre & brave erotic drama!

Gran Torino

I more or less agree with Alky, Newb, and Return on this one. My only complaint was the at times laughable melodrama and almost absurd cheesiness that showed up here and there throughout the film. I'm not sure if, since this is supposed to be his exit film, it's supposed to be kind of retrospective to his earlier work. At any rate, I did enjoy it.

I'd probably give it a 7.5/10.

Already Dead.

Suspenseful revenge drama. Very well done, IMO.
