Indeed, you are Rob Zombie. You even thought the movie was a bit of a disappointment. :D

Us Brits will have to wait to 28th September to decide how good or bad it is.

I do however have a small query: The trailer come on yesterday on tv and this along with the publicity stills defineately shows the 'boy' Michael wearing his now famous mask, is this the case?

crabapple 09-17-2007 08:33 AM

Yes, that is the case.

I went to see it at midnight when it premiered. The previews made it look at least decent, but I was so extremely disappointed. It was the first horror movie I've watched that made me laugh at death scenes (that were supposed to be serious, not comical). And I HATED that they made Michael out to be just your old run-of-the-mill serial killer instead of simply pure evil.

The beginning reminded me way too much of The Devil's Rejects, too. Language-wise.

Just a small update number-wise...

Halloween has currently passed $50 million at the box office.

Zombi 09-18-2007 02:05 PM

I've been reading all the interviews with zombie for the past like 4-5 months and yeah, i never really had respect for zombie as a filmmaker although i gave him chances. its cool that he got the dude from clockwork orange, who never saw the original to be donald pleasence's "dr.loomis" and ...but that wouldn't make me go to theaters for it. Really... im not a pessimist lol but yeah i'm gonna wait till it comes out on video to see this, just to make up for the lack of suspense you all keep talking about

I liked it, a nice change of pace from the crappy horror movies they put out these days. I nice slasher flick with some backround to go with.
