Tod Browning's Freaks. You have no idea how excited I am to get this film.

Awesome. Amazing film.

I contradict you on the internet purchases...I prefer it.

Better prices, better selection, and DeepDiscount takes about 4 days to get here for me. I can wait.

Ahh, DeepDiscount, I presume?
The only way to go. Except for brand new releases you get better prices (by far sometimes), free shipping, and they rarely have shipping issues.

Nice choice, thats starting to get hard to find.

You know, Im starting to think that getting a part-time job may have been a mistake...the prospcet of being able to a buy a reasonably priced movie for every hour-and-a-half I work is way too tempting, especially combined with the fact that I have to walk past Zellers to get home from work....

That said, I just bought a movie that Ive been eying for quite awhile: The Party, with Peter Sellers. Being a huge fan of the Pink Panther films and Sellers's work in general, Ive been wanting to pick this up...and I finally got around to it. I have a pretty hectic week or two coming up, but I'll hopefully find time to watch it soon.

laser rot occurs when the glue that holds the 2 discs together becomes contaminted resulting in speckling of the picture .. sometimes minor - but in the worst cases it renders the disc unwatchable.

all discs - including DVDs are really 2 discs glued together.
i hear some DVDs suffer from this as well..

I thought they lasted for ever. How long does that take to happen to discs?

its not a time issue .. its the glue used and/or the way it was pressed during manufacture.

not all discs will experience rot...

the ones that have it get progressivly worse through the years - but usually the process is pretty slow.

(even then a little speckling isnt a big deal)

the Discovision discs were the 1st laserdiscs so the technology has improved vastly since
