Arthur and the Invisibles (Luc Besson)

i heard nothing but terrible things about this film - it wasnt as bad as i thought.
the live action parts were good - and the animation was really cool.

some of the voice actors were badly cast (like di nero) but David Bowies character was great.

all in all - not that bad a film.

Did you really like the movie or do you just have a big man crush on Ben Affleck?

I'm suprised anyone Mr Dudley Doright trying to be a rebel sexy. I liked the story/characters but really hated the majority of the actors.

I think Jersey girl is Kevin Smiths best film. (Jay and silent Bob Strike Back is my favorite - but Jersey girl is a great film - and probably technically better.)

I saw it out of the blue when an ex girlfriend hired it. Don't think I would've watched it otherwise because of the cast (Jo Lo, Will Smith, Ben Affleck). I remember discussing it with you awhile back espcially how it made me appreciate the whole love story flick a lot more.

I agree with you that its his best film. Its a really mature well written flick with a bunch of the elements that made his other films so great... its the same way I feel about Tarantino's Jackie Brown.

Last watched: Weird Science

Really good watch dug the cameos of Micheal Berryman and Vernon Wells. Gonna have to track down Real Genius now!

Mr. Brooks ~ surprisingly enough, I liked it. Not really a Kevin Costner fan, but he didn't annoy me like he usually does (maybe because I wasn't supposed to "like" the psycho ;) ), he did a good job. And William Hurt was great. Could have easily been a bore, but it wasn't. A dark, interesting film.

I, too thought this was a really great movie. Kevin Costner was awesome.

i thought it was alright. Nothing special really, and I've never had beef with Costner either.

Weird, I think you're the first to echo my feelings on that film...

The Mysteries of the Great Lakes :

got a free invitation to the new Imax film that opens tomorrow.
very interesting film, centering on one mans quest to reintroduce the sturgeon to the lakes - in an attempt to preserve them from extinction.
Also took a look at the Bald Eagle.

a look at how the lakes have historically been abused by man, and what we have to do to remedy the situation.
