Wow... I haven't seen that in ages! Must remedy that.

Honestly, either Kaneda or Tetsuo, although he plays the dark, broken characters well, so i would lean toward Tetsuo.

I have the feeling I'm goingto be alone in thinking this would be cool....:D

Yes he has and Scorcese hasn't made anything decent for fuckin' ages either.
Bringing Out The Dead had its moments but it was still pretty disappointing.

I avoided it for awhile but after enjoying The Mist I decided to give it a spin. Had a few creepy scenes but just really didn't work for me. Might give it another go sometime and see if it grows on me.

I would strongly disagree with that. He's still directing more good films than anybody else in America. The Departed, Bringing Out the Dead, Shine A Light, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, and No Direction Home all add up to a pretty impressive couple of years...especially for a 65 year old who's been making good movies for forty years.

He literally hasn't had a critically bad movie since the turn of the millenium- all certified fresh on rottentomatoes.com. It would be a challenge to name any other director who can even get two in a row.

I can think of one.

I guess Eastwood has (I'm assuming that's who you're thinking). But still...the point is his last five films have all been golden; three were nominated for Best Picture- one won. I think the man's doing alright.

Mystic River to Letters from Iwo Jima, gives you four in a row. Three were nominated for best picture, one won, and two picked up multiple acting awards. And I definitely agree that Scorsese's doing well.

3 off that list of scorcese films starred DiCaprio, and they were all excellent. And the aviator was amazing, Kate Blanchette was Katherine Hepburn. All around great movie with a great cast.

Sorry to stay off topic, i havent watched anything but south park and iron chef for about a week.
