There Will Be Blood - 9/10
Wow, what a great film. It was so gritty and raw. I loved it. D-Day definitely deserved his Oscar. Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story - 7/10 Pretty funny. John C. Reilly, Tim Meadows, and Jenna Fischer did a good job in this parody filx. Also, Jack White was hilarious as Elvis. |
Tim Burton's "Batman"

Didn't find the setting too interesting, but the story between Danny and Maggie was nice. And D. Day-Lewis did what he always does. |

i like the manic directing style. Blow guess ive been watching a lot of drug movies lately. |
Nim's Island.
good movie for kids ..passable for the adults who have to attend. pushed my tolerance a few times but there were some good moments. |
The last movie we watched was Wristcutters: A Love Story.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...nBnXkFtZTc.jpg This movie was absolutely amazing. Definitely appealed to my melancholic existential senses. It's another indie look at the afterlife; the afterlife for suicides. It's dark, it's funny, the characters are interesting, quirky, and well-acted. The soundtrack is fucking amazing. AND Tom Waits is in it. And, if I haven't given you enough reasons, it has her: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...rl/shannyn.gif Oh, sweet sultry Shannyn Sossamon... I am putty in your willing hands... ... Wristcutters: A Love Story - A/A+. I definitely recommend. |
Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street ~ I absolutely LOVED this movie, as I kind of figured I would.
The Abandoned ~ I actually liked this one as well, had its problems (didn't completely make sense all of the time) but it was interesting, and had some creepy moments. Not bad. |
