i have to admit (and i could only admit it HERE without being crucified) that it was the only movie of his i didnt like. there were some good moments (the quieter ones) that i liked - but otherwise - i was extremely disappointed. He should never have brought back Jay and Silent Bob - it seemed desperate - a way to try to recoup the losses of JErsey Girl (which is actually a great film) |
last seen : Triangle.
a Bryan Singer made for TV sci-fi miniseries concerning the Bermuda Triangle Uneven and dragged out in places but not bad. half the actors look like clones of better actors ... but they do ok. Lou Diamond Phillips is actually really good in this. watched half of it last night - the rest goes tonight. |

i dunno about that.. I dont like a lot of what he does - the long dirty stringy hair look is practically a theme in his films .. but i do find him a compatent - even excellent director when it comes to recreating the feel of past genre films. nothing else has ever captured the feel of hoopers mayhem in Texas Chainsaw Massacre as zombies house of 1000 corpses. that film impressed the hell out of me. i think he's going to do good work once he finds his groove and branches out into more origional territory. he had a lot of balls remaking halloween.. i didnt care for it much - but technically it wasnt badly made. i'm very interested to see what he does next. |

Technically? I thought it was beyond miserable. I'm not even a huge Halloween defender or anything, it was just lifeless. Ho1000 and Devil's Rejects I won't even go into. |
The Grudge (2004)
