Game of Thrones. Really disappointed in that episode. Too rushed.

Could’t agree more. The writers just want to get the show over with. Sad.

Wonder why they scheduled so few eps to cover so much ground?

cheebacheeba 05-17-2019 06:02 PM

The Flash, season finale.

This show...I like it...I think it's risen past the quality of Arrow, though it does suffer for creative and actually interesting villains.
I get it. Can't just be speedsters all the time...the only thing is though? All the ones that haven't been, say last seasons Deveux, and "cicada" aren't uninteresting on their own...but it seems like they make their storylines overly long and involved, and I always get pretty bored of them.

Good episode though. Some feels. Some danger. Decent resolution.
Some ends. Some beginnings.
...and most importantly, he's back...

Although I should say I did enjoy the episode. Actually all of the eps this season. But ya, again, it seemed rushed, but only in the sense I thought they were trying to cover too much ground. But considering how many eps they sch'd, seems like this is how it had to be. Hopefully the last ep will be 2 hours.

Game of Thrones = last episode

Most underwhelming.

I hope a few years from now someone will remake season 8.

cheebacheeba 05-21-2019 01:41 AM

Never got into GOT.
Tried twice, first time about a half hour in, second time got to the second episode. Interesting. Looked of quality. But...Both times too stoned. Never knew who the fuck anyone was talking about so I couldn't really follow it.

Though from what I've heard hey went past the events of the source material...could be why the supposed drop in quality.
Makes you wonder, had they made the series after the books had been completed, or kind of released seasons less often, if they'd have made a show that was fully realised and more universally accepted for its conclusion?

Game of Thrones

Unsatisfying. I wasn't expecting rainbows and unicorns, but, I expected better than that.

Totally agree. Just saw the last ep last night. After about 30mins, it just seemed like little addon vignettes.

Spoilers: Below
I didn't like that Tyrion confronts Dany publicly at that moment, seemed out of sorts. The Tytrion/Jon discussion was OK. Certainly didn't expect Jon would be so direct to kill Dany. There really wasn't a show after that moment. Unless Jon was going to finish the coup against some Unsullied leaders.

Gomorrah, Season 1, Episodes 1~4

Wrapping up Season One of THE DEUCE and while the production values are incredible (the look of early 70's Time Square is fully realized) and good work by the cast means the story is keeping my interest, but nothing for repeat viewings and while this may sound odd coming from Me, many of the scenes of a sexual nature are extremely off putting, particularly when Maggie Gyllenhaal is "watching" a Movie with a "customer" and is interrupted by another member of the audience, not what You would think by this description.
Since the show is about Prostitution/Porn in the early 70's NYC and from HBO, there would be a certain amount of grittiness. But in many of the scenes, it's just too much and wish we had been allowed to imagine what's going on

hammerfan 05-29-2019 03:29 AM

The first two episodes of The Hot Zone on National Geographic. Enjoying it for the most part. However, being ex-military, how they're dressing the military members is annoying the absolute fuck out of me. All incorrect!

Almost all the way through Scrubs now, and I'm into the "medical school" kinda episodes, the semi spin-off with the new and semi-new cast.
It's...yeah...as I remembered not as good.
I mean, don't get me wrong - JD and Turk wore thin way before this...

It's just "not as good a show". The cast, I mean that blonde girl that's the new JD? Dave Franco? Horrible.
The female-Cox Denise is "ok" at most, and her love interest is just like a low rent better looking Jake Busey with no real...anything...

Some of the scenarios are funny.
They've all but removed the darker tones and emotional stuff that was sprinkled throughout the older series.
One Janitor replaced with two slapstick security guard characters, Kelso written into a side bit, and Even Cox almost completely changing his character.
The JD "My finale" episodes were pretty damn well done - and this not only invalidates that by bringing him back...but it just gets worse and worse.

Nope.
I'll probably watch this to the end then wrap up my time/s with this show completely. It's still a good show, or at least it was, but it went on too long and crashed and burned at the end.

Final two episodes of The Hot Zone. Excellent mini-series. Highly recommended.

National Geographic getting into the TV drama scene... seems weird. So they contemplating dropping an Abomb? ::big grin::

Season premiere of Fear the Walking Dead. Meh.

cheebacheeba 06-03-2019 03:30 PM

M, what was the episode where the "new" cast came in?
Like just before Morgan showed up?
I wouldn't mind watching from there...but the whole original cast one has just bored me to the point of stopping now.

Oh gosh, I honestly don't remember. I'd have to go back and look. You know that Dwight is coming to this show, right?

Watched the premiere of NOS4A2 last night. Really enjoyed it, and am looking forward to the rest.

EDIT:
B, it looks like season 4, episode 5 is the first one without Madison.

Starting out a bit slow. Each contestant is alone in a different part of the area. They each have a camera to record their experience. It just started snowing so I expect it will get more challenging.

Very good, and yes very well done. I really never knew details and now I do. I cannot believe the firemen's clothes are still in the hospital basement and still highly radio active.

That area is pretty much fucked like ..forever. : (

I remember when it happened. Back then, no one knew exactly how it happened. It was amazing to see all the risks the communist government took just because they didn't want the world to know they fucked up. All those people that died.

Last night watched:
NOS4A2
Ripley's Believe It Or Not! (hosted by Bruce Campbell)
Fear the Walking Dead

I remember seeing a so so reality movie about Chernobyl.

Apparently today it takes an actor / comedian to get upset about what happened to people during the 9/11 response and cleanup. And the health problems they have in which Congress won't do the obvious and help these people for life.
