The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)

+the bad guy from Chronicle, playing a similar role though.
-the romance, the music, the length of the movie, cliché evil scientist with German accent, some bad cgi towards the end that almost looks like a video game, most of the cast,...

Quite average like most superhero movies.
The only reason I still watch those is out of boredom.

I know, I know. I'm the biggest complainer here about remakes. There's one thing that compelled me to watch: David Tennant. And, I'm approaching my viewing as a standalone movie, like there was no movie from the 80s. It bears very little resemblance anyway. ::wink::

Did you enjoy it? Actually Fright Night 1985 is one of my fav movies. I haven't watched the remake yet. I like the actress who plays the mom (Toni Colette?) and I know Chris Sarandon makes a cameo appearance but that's about it.

Take away all memorable scenes from the original and you have the remake.

"Hotel Inferno" 6-7/10

An action packed gorefest shot entirely in POV. It's like watching the horror game "Condemned", but without the superpowers and creepy atmosphere. It's all about action, violence and gore. And bad acting. Luckily there's only 2 people talking in the entire movie, but they're both fighting for the prize of worst overactor.

Maybe this is a better description. This movie is "Braindead" with a "Bad Taste" budget and a completely different story. Looks like a film school project, but a successful one.

Might get a few fans in here. ::wink::

Sounds interesting. I'm not really a fan of POV video games, but I'm always down for innovative filmmaking techniques. Is it more of a found footage style, as if the main character is wearing a Go Pro helmet cam, or is it filmed with standard high quality cameras, just shot from 1st person POV?

Hmm, that's a good question. I'll let you decide that. :D

I did not. I got bored early on, didn't even make it to David Tennant showing up. turned it off.

Geriatric action at it's finest. And now joined by fresh blood, too!

Banderas is an absolute hoot. Snipes has a great entry. Gibson makes for a very convincing baddie, better than Van Damme in the previous film. Wonderful to see Robert Davi in a nice little cameo. The rest of the crew are there and doing what they do best - kick some serious ass! And when Ford, Schwarzenegger and Li join them to take out an army, you know you got some serious explosions in store!

A wild, quickfire roller-coaster ride. Recommended to all fans of the action heroes of yore.

BTW, Willis & Rourke were missed.

P.S. - No Angra, don't ask how I watched it already!

Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead (2014)

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps86ab1022.jpg

Just finished watching this!

Not only better & far more gorier than the first part but I think it's one of the goriest zombie flicks ever! It was hell of a fun, guys! And this time Herzog and Co. spared no one...the disabled, kids, elderly with strollers, gays and gosh...even babies(!), all get blown up or hacked to pieces in such amusing ways that you gonna love it for sure.

But seriously...most of the time I don't mind to get & download a good copy of any recent anticipated movies but this is really sad, man! Anyway, thanks for the head-up, gonna download that leaked dvd screener soon! ::big grin::
