Channel Zero Dream Door Episodes 5 & 6 Ending -
I forgot to post this in my earlier Dream Door review but there is a scene in the fourth episode I believe with a werewolf cat! And yes it exists. I'm already set on a breed of cat that I want to get. But if I didn't I would get one of these. Channel Zero is an odd series. As I've mentioned before all of the previous seasons kind of lose interest for me after the second or third episodes. I think I know why now. Channel Zero is a bit more psychological horror compared to slasher horror. Or at least they don't get the balance as well as a movie like Nightmare on Elm Street. But I think the slasher element of Dream Door is why I like those early episodes so much and why it's the best of the series. However the last episode was where the show tried to lose me. They had to resolve everything and it just wasn't as good as those early episodes. I think some stuff or elements might even tie into one of the older seasons. I would look it up but I have little interest in revisiting those older seasons. As it stands, I still like Dream Door and if it's on sale one day I might get it for my collection since 75% or so is really good and creepy. |

I've seen both the first two seasons...I don't QUITE like it...but I watch. Looked like from some of the promo material that they've kicked it into a slightly higher gear this season. |
Channel Zero~ The Dream Door. 7/10

I watched episode 1 of "Titans".
Interesting. Bit more competent than I was expecting, a little better put together than the "younger" marvel shows. Thus far, I'd watch more. Also been checking out the rookie. I guess...kind of like someplace between southland and rookie blue...standard police procedural dramedy. Nice to see Fillion has trimmed up a little, think he got maybe a touch too comfortable in the last few seasons of Castle. |

Defying gravity, Flash Forward, Alcatraz, Revolution to name a few. Just makes it hard to invest. Sci-fi always gets fucked. ...though apparently "two broke girls" deserved what, six seasons? Pfft. |

Manifest is ok so far. I posted about it during the October month on the HorrorDVDs forum. I can't remember if I did here. I tend to research plane accidents. And I like those old tv shows with plane mysteries and Bermuda Triangle stuff. It's not for the average person though as if you read the wiki on accidents you'll never get on a plane again. So much pilot and human error stuff it's shocking. |
Body Cam
A new show on ID that shows body cam footage. It was fucking intense tonight and I look forward to see what else shows. I seriously doubt they will ever show anyone getting killed though since apparently snuff isn't allowed on television. |
The episode of Southpark where Butters is a pimp.

BoJack Horseman season 5
This season made me laugh harder than any other so far but like all the other seasons, it also comes with a depressingly hardcore amount of things that make you depressed which is what bothers me about this show. I get that it's supposed to be a dark comedy and it's not meant to be your typical comedy you get an adult cartoon, which in a way is actually good because it makes it unique. I guess it's just one of those shows you have to take the good and the bad. I just feel like the characters are not moving forward whatsoever. It's like they are all doing the exact same kind of things now they were doing in season 1. I don't want to spoil anything for people who watch it and haven't seen this season yet, and I hope this isn't me just getting my hopes up, but considering how the season ended I hope season 6 is going to be a little more on the bright side for once. |

Nightflyers -
Psychological space horror on Syfy. It's kind of slow in parts during the first episode. But it might be ok in the end. It reminded me of that older psychological space horror movie that everyone seems to like with Morpheus from The Matrix and the guy from In the Mouth of Madness. |

On the Horrordvds October topic, someone posted that they were watching Riverdale for the horror element. It seems like this whole season will be about who is the Gargoyle King. Which is a giant horror type monster. The show might be worth a watch for some here. I've enjoyed the previous seasons.

Not really a tv show but a channel on YouTube that puts together these videos of people confessing to crimes. He edits them so there not long and drawn out and points out when police are using certain techniques and when the person under arrest starts using certain behaviors of a guilty or innocent person.
The channel is titled Jim Can’t Swim is anybody is interested. |

It's really weird how it got cancelled, apparently the ratings were top notch - no doubt it was something to do with Fox and Whedon butting heads...I mean they shut down Firefly because he stood by his character decisions. Lame. You know...I still remember two scenes with absolute clarity... Angel trying to smother Wesley, the shit was so abrupt - I was wasted at the time and just watching like "what the fuck is happening???" Then of course "You are my sunshine"...gah. Killed me. Even though there was a comic continuation written in part by Whedon, picked up right after the cliffhanger and while it was pretty interesting it wasn't quite the same. I've often hoped they'd make one of those voiced over moving motion comics like "astonishing x-men" on dvd/bluray, will probably never happen though. I've been watching through season 2 of "The Runaways". I'm thus far liking it a little more than the first one, though yeah they've changed this quite a bit from the source material. It's not the best adaptation, but it doesn't suck. What else, oh yeah The Orville is back. Entertaining as always, even though I haven't found either of the first two episodes to be hugely stand out. It's still warm and funny, and super easy to watch. Again, after seeing McFarlanes other shows...I really admire his restraint he's showed in not making this joke-a-minute. Anyone else pick up on who the barman was? ::big grin:: Waiting for "The Rookie" to come back. |
