Frankenstein (1931) - loved it! Next up is Bride of Frankenstein. I can't believe I'm just now watching these for the first time.

Glad to see you're giving the classics a try. You're going to include The Wolf Man, yes?

Excellent! My personal favorite among the "oldies" are Son of Frankenstein and House of Frankenstein.

"Chandu The Magician"(1932)
-Edmund Lowe' Bela Lugosi
Plot: IMDB
Megalomaniac and would-be world dominator Roxor has kidnaped Robert Regent, along with his death ray invention, in hopes of using it to degenerate humanity into mindless brutes, leaving himself as Earth's supreme intelligence. Faced with revealing the machine's secrets or allowing his family to die a horrible death at the hands of Roxor, Regent's only hope lies with the intervention of his brother-in-law, the be-turbaned yogi and magician Chandu, who has the power to make men see what is not there 'even unto a gathering of twelve times twelve'.

Phantom's Review:
Wonderfully corny and over the top melodrama. The is a movie serial at it's best. Exotic locals (actually a studio back lot) cool FX (for it;s time) and Bela Lugosi at his sinister best. Lots of fun

Night of The Demon. Saw this when I was a child and the following day at school the conversation centred only on the silly manifestation at the end. Fair enough. But the idea of passing the runes was excellent and well handled. I've great big soft spot for the movie. I'd heard rumours of a remake. Whether it's happened is another story. Also, didn't Richard O'brian mention Night of the Demon in The Rocky Horror Show? 'Dana Andrews said prunes, gave him the runes and passing them used lots of skills...' excellent.

Frankenstein (1910)

Very interesting and actually kinda creepy especially the scene where the monster rises and forms.

I started watching this last night but fell asleep halfway through. Not because I was bored, just really tired. Anyways, from what I have seen so far, I can't wait to finish it.
