Aron Eisenberg.
It's not known how or why yet...just that it was sudden. Who was he? He was known for Star Trek DS9, which many still regard as the overall "best" ST series. He played Nog, the troublesome young nephew of Quark the Ferengi conman/bar owner. The character went from a scumbag kid, all the way to becoming a Starfleet officer, and actually went to war. Great character development, and he played the character memorably. Stayed friends with his former child co-star Cirroc Lofton (Jake), and the two of them regularly appeared in "The seventh Rule" (T79 - it's on youtube) which is ran by a dude that does a few of the ST facebook pages, where they talk all things Star Trek and have some pretty cool guests on too. I'd recommend taking a look, though it might be a while until we see more, sadly. Well... R.I.P little guy. Star Trek: DS9 playing Nog: |

Well...he was in a lot of things, among which he played the original Father Mulcahey in the M.A.S.H movie. What I knew this guy from, first and foremost is the grumpy shape shifting head of security Odo on Star Trek Deep Space Nine. Honourable character, forever a foil to Quarks scammery, played with heart...he turned out to be one of the best characters on the show, and I can't think of anyone who would have played him better...he was iconic and perfectly moulded. Wow. Star Trek is getting HIT this year...this is the second main cast member of Deep Space 9 to go this year, along with Aron Eisenberg (Nog) ...not to mention two of these famous female writer DC Fontana and Robert Walker Jnr who played "Charlie X" in the second episode of the original series have both died within just the last couple of weeks. Sidenote R.I.P for these guys. Weird. Anyways...R.I.P Odo/René |
This is weird...seriously...
Marina Sirtis' (Star Trek TNGs Troi) husband, musician Michael Lamper just died yesterday too. This is FOUR ST (related) deaths within the week of each other. It's like they all got off a plane that crashed or something. |

Right now my little girl is singing to "almost unreal" as I type this. |
It's interesting we already have someone to go in here. It is with much sadness and a very heavy heart from me anyway, Mean Gene Okerlund has died at 76. Rest in peace
