Even when tryin his best...the leader of the Special Ops gettin cut to pieces by the lasers protectin the Red Queen in "Resident Evil"...

The Predator gettin speared from behind by the Alien's tail in AvP...

Saw a movie once a long while back in which this guy gets ripped to shreds by a huge shreddin machine and his flesh and blood are shoved out of it as long skin peels...forgot the name of that movie...

this isnt a death but i love the film MISERY

Everything in Theatre of Blood, and both Dr. Phibes movies.Amazing kills in those movies! Especially in Dr. Phibes when the unicorn impales the guy...so unexpected!

Saw had some damn fine deaths too....gotta love a guy running through a barb wire maze!

Dog Soldiers's were good aswell.

Another one of my favorites is Rhodes gettin the ol' Zombie treatment in Day.

That's a good one. I also like the girl hit by the bus in the first one. Great timing on that one.

But my all time favorite is the first death in Suspiria, not my favorite movie, but my favorite death. It was kind of unexpected (to me anyway) and it was filmed beautifully.

Second would be the beheading in The Omen.

New York Ripper: A woman gets carved with a razor blade at close camera shot

Xtro: Woman gives birth to a male adult

Maniac: Man shot in face at close range with a shotgun in slow motion

Just Before Dawn: Man gets sawn from testicles to stomache by surrated edge of machette

House By The Cemetry: Knife through back of head and out of mouth OR woman gets her throat cut (close camera)

Switchblade Romance: Throat cut at the beginning

The Burning: The bit on the boat

Full Metal Jacket: Private Pile

Wrong Turn: Axe chops top of head off and body falls

Willem Dafoe's character Elias's death in "Platoon"...

that is one of the amazin death scenes...just the atmosphere and the feelins you get when you watch it...arms outstretched towards the heavens...oh boy...

the most disturbing thing about that one is that the pitch of his scream changes as his vocal cords were getting stretched ...

ya i remember that. plus the zombie pulls his head off with his finger in both of his eye sockets. OW!

also the other death of that other guy was pretty good too. very atmospheric. He goes from luaghing maniacally to sceaming as the zombies shove their hands into his face and rip pieces off.

actually his back bent bacwards and snapped in half:D

A great one, the guy cleaning the air tunnel in Alien 3 gets spat on by the alien, rols into the fan blade and eplodes :)

Chunks of him everywhere.

Michael Wincott's character dying in the Crow. Falls from the roof, WHAM, impaled on a gargoyle, and blood pours out of the mouth :D

the scene in the hitchhiker where he attachs the girl to the truck and wall and then drives

Easily the most disturbing thing I ever saw was seeing the movie ALIENS in theatres back in the day. When Bishop the android is speared by the alien and starts violently puking up that whitish fluid. Wow. Even more disgusting than had it been blood I think. And then as scary as that already was, the queen alien grabs him with both hands and rips him into to pieces sending the torso one way and the legs another. Again more white fluid spewing, and some weird looking intestines leaking out of him.

By the way: Aleins may be the best horror/sci-fi film of all time in my book.

Oh yah, I agree. I even enjoyed 3. Ressurection was a little over the top for me, though. I've heard rumors of an Alien 5?

not my favourite ever but the burning at the start of sleepaway camp is pretty cool. The camera just lingers on him for ages you almost feel sorry for the paedophiliac bastard( almost)

Final Destination 1 and 2 have some very good death scenes... My favorites are:

1. The airbag scene when she was fine and suddenly the airbag goes off and the puts the spike in her head.
2. Car accident scene with the big log going through the winshield and everyone else dieing around as well.... That was great and that stuff happens all the time in car accidents so that makes it even more scarier.

Also, you gotta put the Omen in there with the "hanging" scene. Thats one of the creepiest eerie scenes around.
