It's a few minutes past midnight. I hear fireworks going off outside. Time to brush my teeth and go to bed. Happy New Year everyone! Gonna sleep in. ;)

AUSTIN316426808 01-01-2009 12:24 AM

Couple hours late, but happy new year people.

Spallalala 01-01-2009 04:38 AM

yeah almost 24hrs into 2009 and what a productive day haha. Went to sleep around 5am and woke up at 12:30pm to go back to sleep at 1pm then you yet rise again at 4pm haha. I did do some cleaning and sorting out papers ( bills etc) and watching Wall E.

Anyhoo Happy new years folks.. Did you get your new years resolutions written down? I got a few big ones and a lot of little ones haha.

Angra 01-01-2009 06:33 AM

O'boy, that was fun.

Been out all night getting my face seriously beaten.

The ironic thing is, I't only happened because i tried to stop a really intense fight in the mens room. Both guys just saw red and jumped me. Never have i been this bruised up.

At least nothing is broken and i still have all my teeth.

ferretchucker 01-01-2009 06:45 AM

Ouch, sorry to hear that, although at least you have something to remember 2008 by.

Actually, it happened in 2009. ;)

ferretchucker 01-01-2009 06:55 AM

Well then, you could say you've had your painful experience of the year, and so no more can come! :p

Phalanx 01-01-2009 07:01 AM

Angra, glad to hear you're ok...kind of wanting to see photos, but I'll understand if you don't want to give them.

I don't HAVE any. And no, i'm not gonna take any either. :p

But it ain't so bad.

Lots of bruises on my forehead and 1 on my chin and 1 on the back of my head from the fall. The inside of my lower lip is quite bloody, without being an open wound. And my left cheek and the right side of my nose are a liiiittle swollen, but i'm probably the only person who can see that, thanks to a really fast and effective guard who brought me ice.

Phalanx 01-01-2009 07:18 AM

So next time you're gonna break up a mens room fight, approach from behind, push heads into sinks...or pretend to help one guy to get rid of one, and take him in his weakened state.

It's not something to feel bad about though...violence can happen, it's usually not expected, hard to anticipate what's going to happen in a situation like that...one more reason I avoid alcohol.
The green, it's all about the peace, "man".

...or just get the hell out of there. *turns around "nope, I didn't see a thing" exits with face intact* :D

Seriously though, I'm glad you're ok and nothing of yours got broken. Hopefully the rest of the year is better for you, that wouldn't be too difficult at this point.

Right.

By the way, how do you remove blood from clothes? And not just from normal clothes, but from a tuxedo.

Not sure if you can do this with a tuxedo, but soaking clothes in cold water usually helps. I've even had that work after the blood had dried. But with a tux, I don't know, depends on the material I guess. Good luck with that.

Thanks.....

I've heard a mixture of soda water, bi-carb and lemon juice lifts blood pretty well - you might need a few goes though.
Or, you could harvest mosquitos or leeches and somehow extract their anticoagulant?

Disease 01-01-2009 05:52 PM

SOrry to hear what happened Angra, I feel your pain.... Take it easy.
