Zombigal75 02-29-2008 06:29 PM

I would like to vote for Donnie Darko..Besides any excuse to watch Jake is good with me, and I would like to hear other takes on the movie.

X¤MurderDoll¤X 02-29-2008 06:32 PM

I've seen all three of those movies though. :(

damn missed the suggestion deadline.

GorePhobia 03-01-2008 01:09 AM

So Funhouse is in the lead by 2? with about 18 and 1/2 hours left?

I'm going to make it where the suggestions are running on Thursdays.

The Funhouse (7)

Pitch Black (1)

Donnie Darko (5)

Doc Faustus 03-01-2008 07:07 AM

My vote goes to the Funhouse. I'm probably the only person on earth who got tired of Donnie Darko.

VampiricClown 03-01-2008 07:41 AM

The Funhouse (8)

Pitch Black (1)

Donnie Darko (5)

X¤MurderDoll¤X 03-01-2008 03:59 PM

I haven't seen Donnie Darko in awhile, that gets me vote.

VampiricClown 03-01-2008 04:34 PM

The Funhouse (8)

Pitch Black (1)

Donnie Darko (6)

Time for voting to be over, will be in roughly 3 hours. If you haven't voted yet, and would like to get one in, now is the time to do it.

Disease 03-01-2008 05:52 PM

Anyone with a link to watch the funhouse online?

Make that two, Doc. Funhouse as well.

VampiricClown 03-01-2008 06:21 PM

The Funhouse (9)

Pitch Black (1)

Donnie Darko (6)

Less than two hours remaining.

VampiricClown 03-02-2008 06:11 AM

The Funhouse wins the round, leaving Donnie Darko and Pitch Black, with the lights out.

Everyone has until next Saturday to watch/get ahold of and discuss this film.

Let's see some debate!

crabapple 03-02-2008 06:32 AM

Aha! I actually have this film on the shelf, I saw this in the theatres way back when it was new. Haven't watched the DVD in a while but this is a fairly cool movie.

GorePhobia 03-02-2008 09:04 AM

Well I shall be sitting out unless it is viewable online because I leave tomorrow at noon to go visit my girlfriend in North Dakota and I will be gone until the 13th.

I'll probably be sitting this one out as well, seeing as I don't own this film.

chaibill 03-02-2008 01:02 PM

My blockbuster doesn't have it, and I don't do online rentals.

Go buy it....i'm sure you can find it for under $10

X¤MurderDoll¤X 03-02-2008 05:11 PM

I find this pretty amusing...

maybe pick a new movie? I vote Altered States if you're taking new movies for consideration.

I may. I'm working this week. I'll see if I can stop in somewhere.

VampiricClown 03-02-2008 05:49 PM

Let's get back to the movie.

Discussion.

altered states would be a good one.

Disease 03-03-2008 03:33 PM

I thought we had till next weekend to watch it?

When was the time up?

chaibill 03-03-2008 06:11 PM

You have until sat night
I just watched it it was good. Nice effects on the villain and the funhouse was really gave a tight and cramped felling. And the carnies all looked freaky too.

fortunato 03-03-2008 08:34 PM

oh, ok, nevermind.
i've been a little frazzled this weekend (bleeding over into today).

i should be able to get it and watch it this week, then.

Elvis_Christ 03-06-2008 12:17 PM

I'll sort out my review sometime after sat when I get a chance to sit down and watch it

VampiricClown 03-06-2008 12:26 PM

New vote going up tomorrow. Send some more suggestions.

Elvis_Christ 03-06-2008 12:35 PM

Aftermath
Reform School Girls
Santa Sangre
Deranged

are some of my suggestions

fortunato 03-06-2008 07:14 PM

i thought altered states was a good suggestion.

Doc Faustus 03-07-2008 08:58 AM

Altered States might be a good one.

DarkWanderer 03-07-2008 09:10 AM

The Funhouse....based on the book written by Dean Koontz (using a psydonym).

Really? I'm really surprised that Blood Beach didn't make it in to this round (based on reading through three pages of posts)

"Dean R. Koontz wrote a novelization of the screenplay under the pseudonym Owen West. The book contains a lot of backstory added by Koontz. Because of this, and the fact that the book was released before the movie due to a delay in post production, it is often mistaken that the movie is based on the book, but the book is in fact based on the movie."

knife_fight 03-07-2008 09:41 AM

so are we discussing Funhouse or not? I did my homework and watched it, but I don't want to give away any spoilers if it's not open for discussion yet.

crabapple 03-07-2008 09:50 AM

I wanted to mention that while I think "The Funhouse" is a great horror film, the sound mix on the DVD is awfully unbalanced...deafeningly loud ambient effects and whisper-quiet dialogue tracks...not very much fun to listen to, which is a shame because the musical score is so good.
