Do yourself a favor and just buy the Val Lewton boxset. Cat People, I Walked With a Zombie, The Leopard Man, Isle of the Dead, The Seventh Victim, and The Body Snatcher are all necessities.

And the rest are great additions as well.

How much does one of those run?

At Deep Discount it's $45...and that's a steal! It's probably my favorite boxset. It really is a classic horror must-have.

It comes with 5 DVDs, 2 movies per DVD, but they're good quality, and most have commentaries. It also has a fascinating feature-length documentary on Lewton.

Yep, it gets my vote as well.

The Black Cat

I love Cat People, but the Black Cat takes itself slightly less seriously and that makes it much better.

Yellow Jacket 12-11-2007 06:57 AM

10-6, Cat People moves on. Next match up shortly.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame, for my boy, Lon.

Yellow Jacket, you're doing a great job pairing these matches up. Keep up the good work!

Prefer the '31 version, but Jekyll & Hyde still get my vote.
