What I have been saying over and over the only reason I am doing my show more then once a week is for you guys.

If you don't do a show with me then I will go back to doing it once a week on Wednesdays.

And, what if the forum members wanna talk to each other more than one night a week?...What if some are available for some nights, and some are available for others?...And when you announce it on MySpace, you're gonna get a lot more callers than just the forum, which is what you would WANT right?...Aren't ratings (listener volume) important to you?...I'm pretty sure that's what MOST radio show hosts hope for

Wednesday nights is the only show open to everyone and it is staying that way. If we have a show for HDC I can use it on my show, promote it on here and not on myspace and it would be fun.

Personally, I enjoyed talking to you guys as well as listening (if I didn't, I wouldn't STILL be listening to the show from last night... by the way ARSENIO HALL ??), so I don't think you should worry. It was still your idea, and a good one at that.

You still get to have your show. You can still host as many shows as you want, and we will listen. I know that I will listen whenever I possibly can. If you have a show where it is just HDC members, then I will participate (because anyone that knows even a bit about me knows that I don't just "speak up". I'm a very quiet, shy person. I can't apologize for that, its who I am....and I like me....:) ). But both can exist. I think what people want here is for ALL members to have input, and can participate....while still enjoying and participating in your show.

Yeah but you need to live in US to host a show and no one else knows how to do it so why not just have me host it and I will take the calls and stuff. But if someone else hosts it then good luck and all and have fun figuring it out and all that. Only one person can host the show btw.

That is regular shoutcast streaming- like what I do on my station. It does not have the phone setup or the callin numbers like what Gore does. No way to call in. No way to host callers. And no- it's not easy to add that capability.

And there is NO reason that the 'one person' couldn't be YOU...We had left the subject of 'host' open for discussion

Let me try to make my questions clearer, since you may not have understood them, because they were unanswered:

On your show's page, it lists the name and topic of each show...If you put one up that says something like "HDC LIVE: This show is ONLY for the members of HDC, to discuss forum topics and hang out...Please don't call in if you are not a member of HDC" Won't your OTHER regular listeners feel 'pushed aside'?...Wouldn't they be upset and call in just to let you KNOW they didn't appreciate it?

If it was something that was EXCLUSIVELY for HDC...Wouldn't you have to make a whole new page, with a different number?

Well, not to RAIN on anybody's parade- but I think Gore has made a very generous offer- he knows how to use this blogtalk system- he's done the legwork- he has everything set up- and he's offered to add a day to his broadcasting schedule that's JUST for HDC members. Why not go with it? If anyone not from HDC calls in he just says- sorry, this is HDC night, hangs up on them and the show continues.

It really seems like the easiest path to the goal to me- the GOAL being- a regular show where HDC members can call up and chat.

Think about it objectively for a minute and see what you think.

I wasn't trying to insult anyone. I was just upset, I understand what you want to do. I am all for it, have fun with it. I don't have enough listeners for anyone to get mad. I could host a show right now and no one would call because it's not promoted. Oh and by the way on BlogTalk you won't be able to do shows from 5PM-12AM during the prime time hours because its the busyest.

Look- this is what makes blogtalk radio so unique. Don't you get it? They've set up a system where people can call in to one number and it can be broadcasted. It's THEIR innovation.

Rayne.....here is what I am trying to say about my page and number and shit. NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT MY SHOW REALLY. The only reason people listen/call is because I promote it on 4 different myspaces and 2 different forums. If I don't promote a show it will just be us talking.

Yes, it would...Which is why I'm sure your name would have been suggested first for 'host'...If suggestions had been offered...Like I said, that was just another matter for discussion...What about the other things...Topics, and whatever else I said on the first page (I already forgot:p )

People know the address to your site, and the number for your show...Some people may wanna hear the archives...Then they'll see that you're having a show...You don't have to promote it for people to check it out...Hell, I was on there today myself...I'm just trying to think of a way to be fair to everyone
