And now for something completely different

Hi, new girl in town...anyway, I just wanted to comment on the picture. I have no idea if it's real, but I certainly hope that it is, because that would nock a whole lot of sanctimonius creeps from their collective high horse. Also, it would finally prove, beyond shadow of a doubt, that ghosts and possibly other paranormal happenings are real.

Speaking from a sort of professional mind, ghosts are like napalm: neat but you wouldn't want to play with it.

Cheers!

Maybe but if you are talking about the one at Jason Farmer here is what a leading professor has to say:

This is from the leading professor from University of Tennessee (ret.)Dr. Klienfelter taken from an email from Dr. Klienfelter himself.

I am a parapsychologist in Asheville, NC. The picture was taken at a mobile home in Knightdale, NC. The mobile home is located on the site of a Civil War battle and is a "hot spot" for paranormal activity. I have been conducting paranormal research at this location for over twenty years. Although we've photographed numerous orbs and have experienced interesting readings on our instruments, this is by far the best photograph I have witnessed.

That???

Is that a figure or a trick of light...for example, when you look at wood work, sometimes it gives the impression of a face? The way it shows up is strange to me. However, I appreciate the close up, and it may be something paranormal. The face is pretty creepy. If she is "real" I certainly wouldn't want her haunting my house. Creepy old ladies scare me... everything else is tolerated.

IMO that is a real ghost.no trick lighting at all.Ive looked at this photo in everyway imaginable, i even inverted it to make it alot brighter and you could clearly see the outline of a human face and the eye socked on the eye that is showing.I believe this to be authentic, also if this was just a normal photo of a human with how close the face is to the window you would see some sort of reflection coming from the face and you dont. its a shadowy figure with a pale face and noticably pale i might add.Maybe a fake?? we may never know but damn this is pretty convincing atleast to me

Yes! From a search of dogpile you can find multiple forums mentioning the old lady ghost such as the following from spiritsearchers:

"Usually we can explain things like this away as a reflection or something of that sort, but this is VERY clear. Would love to find out more about this location myself!

John & Nancy
Spiritsearchers.com

Folks this thing appears to be real because this is in from one of the leading spirit research teams in America at www.spiritsearchers.com wrote the above letter about the old woman in the photo.

Here's a letter answering them about the location:

I am a parapsychologist in Asheville, NC. The picture was taken at a mobile home in Knightdale, NC. The mobile home is located on the site of a Civil War battle and is a "hot spot" for paranormal activity. I have been conducting paranormal research at this location for over twenty years. Sincerely;

Dr. Klienfelter

livin_dead_88 12-23-2003 03:37 PM

Ghosts

even if its not real it is still cool, I mean what if ghost really do exist, that would be way cool just think about it
your grandma dies, and the next day your talking to he would that not be cool you could tell her your secrets and she could never tell anyone because who would beleive a ghost. Even if it is not real the picture is way cool.

bloodygurl02 12-23-2003 07:51 PM

the other nite they did a news storuy on this on my local news station. i ddin't get to c the whole thing my mom turned it half way through the segment

To the guy that is trying to post the pic, here it is:

http://209.25.203.234/attachment.php?s=&postid=364762

*Testing to see if it works, then I'll tell ya how to do it.

Hmm...no reason that shouldn't work. You linked directly to the pic and everything. Well, let's not try this anymore, perhaps a mod can look into the IMG function and find out why it's not working. Or, if you already know, explain it to us, 'cause I am puzzled.

As for the old woman, look at the pics on the Jason Farmer site. They are smaller, but it is much more spooky when put into perspective.

MichaelMyers 12-23-2003 08:46 PM

Someone here is from Asheville? I live a little under an hour to the west of there.

Anyway, I'm sure this photo will be showing up on Snopes.com pretty soon. They're pretty good about examining this stuff.
