Don't feel bad...The first thing I thought of when I read the title was 'Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends'...

So...I'm even more disappointed than you...

*sigh*

I'm looking for it online, find the cheapest possible copy but will pay some money if I have to...then I wait for it to arrive and then I watch it aghast.

Yeah, but it's still nice for nostalgic purposes. I'm sure Dungeonmaster won't be nearly as cool as it was when I was 12, but I'll still enjoy it...next I'm going to send my sister a copy of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, because she's kind of sad and nothing cheers me up like cross dressing aliens from the planet Transsexual, in the galaxy Transylvania....

Monster Dog with Alice Cooper, so bad he doesn't talk about it. Ilove it especially the really cheesy songs and crappy F/X.

orangestar 06-16-2006 06:23 PM

Teen Knight....I love it. It's like A Knights Tale mixed with Three Ninjas...

I think that when a person enjoys a bad movie, they are in fact loosening up a little and enjoying the imperfections of being a person--it is us laughing at ourselves a little and relaxing instead of insisting that everything be polished and perfect.

Good analogy FM.
The cheesiest movie in my collection would have to be...

filmmaker2 06-17-2006 07:13 AM

Ah, and here's one I really love. This is a REALLY entertaining one. It's so weird and awful that it's sort of hard to describe. I have read some reviews of it that convey its qualities pretty well though.

Miss Olivia 06-17-2006 08:32 AM

Vegetarians beware!!
That rocks...

Here's a good one for you:

Haunted 06-17-2006 09:22 AM

How about The Golden Child with Eddie Murphy? There was also this movie with Robert Englund playing the Marquis De Sade. He was either the present incarnation or a resurected version. Anyway, he'd kidnapped this modern woman because she reminded him of a woman he once had an obsessive relationship with at some point in his life. It was probably dumber than that movie Ishtar, which is said to be the worst movie ever made.

Miss Olivia 06-17-2006 09:27 AM

Yes! I loved the Golden Child....the dancing stop motion pepsi can, and the Dragon Lady....that's uber cheese....

I've never seen the Robert Englund movie you were talking about, it sounds interesting. Did anybody ever see The Phantom of the Opera with Robert Englund? I loved that movie when I was a preteen.....

"Night Terrors"...

man that movie sucked huge rhino balls, and believe me when I say this, it was made by none other than Tobe Hooper...

talking about cheesy flicks...what bout Campfire Tales? Bad Taste? Dead Alive?

Kung Fu Hustle is on top of that tree too...damn cheesiness...yet you gotta love that movie...

And the grand-daddy of em all, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness...cheesy as can be, and you gotta adore those 2...

:D

Miss Olivia 06-17-2006 09:51 AM

Are you kidding??? Kung Fu Hustle is one of my all time favorite movies....everything in it was totally unexpected for me....I bought it three times on pay per view and then got it from the video store....

And Dead Alive is so bad it's awesome:D

ENTITY2000 06-17-2006 10:41 AM

nothing but trouble with demi moore and chevy chase
is pretty cheesy!

Dante'sInferno 06-17-2006 11:31 AM

I dub Kung Fu Hustle as...

The Greatest cheesy movie of all time.

Miss Olivia 06-17-2006 04:16 PM

I guess you kind of have to be a fan of old kung fu movies to really appreciate Kung Fu Hustle.....it's just not everybodys cup of tea.....

ENTITY2000 06-17-2006 09:55 PM

never heard of it?

Miss Olivia 06-17-2006 11:10 PM

The Kung Fu Hustle? It's one of my favorite movies....if you like kung fu movies and Looney Tunes you have to watch it....one of the most original movies in years!

filmmaker2 06-18-2006 12:04 AM

I thought Kung Fu Hustle was a lot of fun. Maybe a couple of details I might've changed, but it's really just a fun ride for geeks. Had a few good sentimental moments too. And great effects overall. It was a big enough movie that they needed to hire the crews of the other martial-arts filmmaker gurus to come in and create a bunch of second unit stuff, so, I thought it was worth seeing for the spectacle alone.

I love some of the old Kung-Fu films, the badly dubbed one's are excellent. I also like some of the actors used especially after the death of Bruce Lee. Check this one out!!

Not only have you got "Bruce Le"! and Harold "Oddjob" Sakata, my personal favorite of all time "Chick Norris"!!!:D

I'll give it points for originality, and amazing effects. But I guess I just don't have an appreciation for that art form yet.

Oh man, that's awesome....Chick Norris and Bruce Le.....
And of course props to Steven Segall movies, which always make me laugh hysterically, especially the newer ones where they try every camera trick in the book to mask the fact that the guy must have buffet EVERY day....

Yeti.13 06-18-2006 09:59 AM

I also have another class film starring, wait for it, ...... Bruce Li!!It's called "Exit the Dragon, Enter the Tiger" and apparantly shows Bruce Lee talking to to Bruce Li before he died and telling him to investigate his death (he's obviously aware he is about to die?) and to be his successor!!
Stangley Bruce Lee doesn't look how I remember him and seems to always wear massive sunglasses, do you think it's not really him and some rubbish actor instead???

(God I have some great films!!)

Miss Olivia 06-18-2006 10:58 AM

LOL that's awesome...I wonder how many "Bruce Lees" there are in the world of cheap kung fu movies....

Miss Olivia 06-18-2006 04:49 PM

And then you have movies like this one, which should NEVER beat The Incredible Melting man unless it's in a cheese tournament...

Thank fuck it didn't win!! Melting Man rocks!

Miss Olivia 06-19-2006 10:51 PM

If horror were royalty, Vince would be a Duke. I would say Count, but he only played a vampire once......one of my super favorite cheesy movies that I rummaged through hundreds of movie stores to find.....

Best crap movie ever: "The Apple"

A real screaming gumdrop of an awful futuristic disco musical, with millions of dancers and silly songs, monolithic music company run by the devil, this is really all right stuff.

Here's another classic cheese that I just HAD to own....

filmmaker2 06-22-2006 12:13 AM

I love Elvira! I saw her live a couple of times when she did Halloween shows at Knotts Berry Farm. She's a great live performer.

Miss Olivia 06-22-2006 10:05 PM

Yeah, and she's smart enough not to take herself too seriously.

filmmaker2 06-23-2006 06:36 AM

Yeah....you know, I wish I'd had a VCR back in the day. I would have taped some of her shows. (That was back in the good old days when TV still had real horror hosts!)
