I read the book and saw the movie-I give them both a C-.

I thought some part of the book was pretty cool....but some of the homofobic stuff was just boring...the movie was ok...not more

I liked parts of the book and the movie, but it is one of my least favorite Cronenberg films. Overall, both were pretty disappointing.

Oh and I love The Frighteners too....it has no place in this thread....;)

I wouldnt call him the King either. He's made some great movies, that goes without saying, but...LOTR? Sure, they were ok, but dont exactly qualify him for King status, IMO.

heres a few that i love ,that are generally considered trash by most

tenement-how can you not love a movie that features stabbings,electrocutions,burning by boiling water and rape by a broom handle,great stuff

eaten alive(lenzi)-sure it rips off footage from just about most other cannibal films,but there`s cannibals and gore and that makes entertaining trash at least in my opinion

bloodsucking freaks-so sick and sleazy,you cant help but not love it

texas chainsaw massacre-the next generation-hilarious if you watch it as a comedy rather then a horror movie

cobra(stallone)-c`mon its an action film the way action films are supposed to be made and features a cult of serial killers who only believe in bladed weapons,its fan fuckin tastic

salute of the jugger-i have a soft spot for these post apocalyptic mad max rip off type movies,but this is a personal fave amongst the genre

Dark Hertiage. Not many redeeming qualities to this one. Acting makes House of the Dead look Oscar worthy. Effects that are out and out terrible. An ending that you can see coming a mile away. But it's still a fun little flick, recomended by me:)

1)Jeepers Creepers-Everyone I know hates it but i liked it alot.
2)Dumb and dumberer-Alot of people said this film ruined the 1st,but i liked it alot.
3)Kung fu hustle-I liked this movie alot but alot of people that watched it with me said it sucked.

Havnt seen the other 2, but I LOVE Jeepers Creepers too. I even liked the sequel *ashamed*
