I often use my picture as my avatar because I feel that it helps to make this place a little less 'impersonal'...I like to be able to 'look at' the person that I'm 'talking' to, and I think that a lot of people feel the same way...I really wish that ALL of you guys would use your pictures as your avatars...But, it doesn't really look like it's catching on.....Oh well...

Haphazard 06-21-2005 05:09 AM

I always have a heavy rotation of evil clowns, jesters or any other type of insane; makeup-wearing freaks.

My reasoning is I hate/fear clowns. I choose the avatars as symbolism for facing my fear.

However, I truly believe that I am not all too different from someone who looks happy/harmless on the outside...but underneath the "makeup" lies a dark; tortured soul.

So, in a weird way...I am fearing what I can actually relate to.

Plus, I choose the avatars because they seem to match my screen name pretty well. I've used "Haphazard" for everything from way back in the day. The name was for a comic book villain I had created. (not a clown).

I have assumed Haphazard as my alter ego. No rhyme or reason for most of the things I do.

I bet they like it when your ears wiggle.

alkytrio666 06-21-2005 08:43 AM

Personally I'd like to snuggle up with that soft, warm polar bear fur.

HappyCamper 06-21-2005 08:44 AM

my avatar is from a movie called 'Home Sick' that one of my friends starred in. I just thought the picture was cool.

Actually, it's not polar bear. Urge wont wear fur unless it is from baby harp seals, and then, only if it has been taken in the most inhumane way possible, the bloodier the better.

newb 06-21-2005 08:56 AM

Mine is pretty much self explanatory.
The cow bell is the single most important instrument in any ROCK band.

Don't knock it man....Robert Zimmerman wrote a whole song about it.

Hey! Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me,
I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to.
Hey! Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me,
In the jingle jangle morning I'll come followin' you.

Vodstok 06-21-2005 11:49 AM

Ahem...

Not to be too big a dick, but people did quite a few drugs back when that song was written. Bell bottoms and tie-dye werent just limited to deadheads and comic store owners...

:D
