actually i just looked up ChinChillas and they are good at firce fights with other native animals suck as the jakle and the????????
well i'll have to go back and look but its definettly there so anyway,

They only bit, scrach,or kick you if provoked or if it feels like its in any type of threat.

ChEEbA 03-05-2005 04:11 PM

Could somebody maybe post a picture of a chinchilla for me? We don't have them here...if they're a large rodent of some sort, having feirce fights to protect thri own wouldn't be uncommon...I mean I've seen rats defend their family, and you don't EVEN wanna fuck with those guys...

Anyways, just an update.
As I said, I'm trying not to get o involved or hands on, but I just went and looked in the cage, and the mother was laying with her babies...I mean, I dunno if theyre ALL still alive (here's hoping) but I did see movement.
All I can do right now is watch, feed her once a day, clean out any funky shit from the age, and let her do what she's gonna...
From the looks of things, it MIGHT just be ok this time.:)

I love how I've turned this thread from a ferret thread to a straight-up chinchilla fan club.

VIVA LA REVOLUTION!

ChEEbA 03-05-2005 06:09 PM

I don't mind...just as long as I get to throw in my regular ferret updates and the occasional pic...we're good.
Anyone else got some animal babies?

The girls in the apartment next door have a Collie, it had puppies. I haven't seen em', I heard the Collie's gettin' real pissed when people go near it.

ChEEbA 03-05-2005 06:45 PM

It's funny how that happens...most dogs (and cats too) are very VERY placid after they've had a baby, and actually watch you as you play with the babies, I mean theyre mindfull of you, and sometimes take them back after a while, but they're ok with it...yet SOME dogs n cats get like CRAZY protective for the first week or so...

Marroe 03-05-2005 09:15 PM

Get a pic of these babies already.

newb 03-05-2005 09:27 PM

OH SHIT!

I litterally just said that when I saw that thing, I'm gonna have nightmares about it sitting on my chest while I'm sleeping.

ChEEbA 03-05-2005 10:55 PM

I'll get a pic or two, but probably not for about a week...as hard as it is, I'm trying to do everything "right" this time.
Besides, they'll be more to look at by then anyways.

Alas, for now I can only hope and wait.

TOO BAD! Time for another fact.

Humunculus, in Greek mythology, is the little man that embodies each individual sperm.

Two of them died this morning, and I didn't want to dwell on this topic. Laugh it up.
