however dawn of the dead was EXCELLENT as well. i liked it when they cut the zombies legs off with the chainsaw lol. the end pissed me off tho.
|
The first time I saw it, Mothman left me fairly creeped out, I must admit. Now, I dont find it scary...but it is a great movie!
Im ot sure if he was serious, but I must agree with Extr3mist, Blair Witch is the only movie that ever scared me. Just the tension near the end, most of the movie was dull as a rock, but the last 15-20 minutes scared me shitless. |

Ive yet to see Ju-On, so I cant comment on that....but you found Salem's Lot scary, and you call me a crybaby? It was a pretty kool movie, but scary? Lololol. Unless you mean the remake, I havnt seen it yet, but I cant imagine it'd be any more scary:rolleyes: :D |

believe it or not, blaur witch 2 was actually not such a bad movie. It wasnt like the first one, you know, black and white and raw footage, but it was kinda creepy,.

I've said this before, but the scariest movie I've ever seen was that Trekkies documentary. Absolutely horrifying,

Oh god, he was easily the most pathetic loser i have met. Total momma's boy. He actually believed her when she explained to him that the silicone bra inserts she had (obviously to make her b-cups look like c-cups) were "for a medical reason"......
Boy did he get upset and flustered when i suggested that maybe she just wants to make her tits look bigger and didnt want to tell him.... Pretty sad reaction for a 19 year old.... |

the house is exactly where the film failed for me (with the exception of the final seconds in the cellar which were effective)
all i could think of when they were running up and down the stairs .. is that they (as filmmakers) found an old house .. so they decided to use it as a cool place to film ..and just shot footage of the kids running around in it. It took me right out of the movie. |
Sounds like you took yourself out of it - the house discovery was a new element to the proceedings (most of the scary bits being centred around the tent), and those fleeting glimpses of (childrens?) handprints were rather unnerving.
Also, it was a claustrophobic scene - we briefly saw the dimly-lit exterior, but those running-up-and-down-stairs sequences (shifting between the two cameras) didn't give much away as to what was that house and what was in it... |

And you don't know horror until you've heard the love song from Titanic sung in Klingon. |
please tell me ju-on is dubbed? I cant possibly be scared while reading subtitles.
I got evil-dead II yesterday:D |

Blair Witch Project is a great film, and this is coming from someone who owns over 5,000 horror films...but then again different strokes for different folks.... P.S. I'm not trying to be a dick or anything. |

As far as i can see on IMDB there is no movie named just "Blair witch"? So if it isnīt "Blair witch project" wich movie is it then? |
By the way, has anybody seen the short movie called
"The Blair Bitch Project starring Linda Blair"? Is it funny? |

Blair Witch Project can't have a sequel because it's a totally different kind of hooror movie then Book of Shadows. It was a fake documentary, BOS was a bullshit movie that tried to play off the original by inserting the name and plot into it so people would go see it and ultimately go home disappointed (or laughing their asses off). |
I think people who watch the dubbed version of foreign movies (like Ju-On) should be shot. Once you start a movie with subtitles, and you start reading it, you get used to it and it gets to the point where you don't even notice it anymore. But to me, you could probly watch Ju-On without the dubs or the subs and still be creeped out by it (and be able to follow the plot, kinda). There's not a lot of excessive dialogue.
Ju-On is great. It honestly made me uncomfortable. But the Exorcist is the scariest movie ever made, to me. |
Yeah, first time I saw The Exorcist I had nightmares for a couple days. Then I saw the newer version with the staircase scene and had nightmares for a couple more days.
Tough times... |

Hopefully no more BWP sequels, though no amount would cheapen the impact of the original.

Or they made a versus movie, like Blair Witch vs The Critters or Blair Witch vs Leprechaun |

LMAO.:p Good one! But how about something even more extreme such as: Blair witch vs Bambi Blair witch vs Linda Blair Etc. |
