Excuse me.

UNLESS you want to think of Norman Bates or Leatherface as the Original.

But to me Mike was the one that spawned all of the Copy-cats of then and today.

I wonder what makes you kids so afraid of new horror concepts, that all you yearn for is more of the bloody same?

Did someone actually say it doesn't matter if H4LL0VV33N 9 is no good, so long as he gets his latest fix of the character Michael Myers?

I blame Fangoria - for years they have splashed horror icons and anti-heroes over their pages and invited readers to cheer them on in the cinemas... it's probably the same celebratory state of mind one can get when reading Spiderman or Batman.

Can't you see you are manipulated by fat-cat producers of these hip, soulless sequels? Perhaps not yet.

Hats off to whoever blasted Jason into space... although the same bastards probably brought him back down to earth to fight that skinny puff in the stripey jumper.

Michaels Shape 01-19-2005 04:53 PM

WTF are you talking about?

Elvis_Christ 01-19-2005 05:02 PM

You're quite right about Fangoria I grew up reading them and looking back to them now it is all about Myers, Freddy and Jason (especially the late 80s early 90s). But yeh I look foward to these sequel for another fix because there great characters.

Nemesis412 01-19-2005 05:09 PM

Man Elvis, everything I heard from you is right lol.

Mike I see you found out how to do it eh?

Well, like I said, I still think the series should have ended with H20. Micheal Myers is my favorite slasher character, so I wanted to see him go out on top with his dignity in tact (on the other hand, I could keep watching Jason movies until he's got to chase people around in a wheel chair.). Despite this, I'll probably still trudge out to see H9. I still got a kick out of Resurrection.

But I still think they should put Danielle Harris back in the series if they insist on making more. And she should get naked. But what the fuck do I know?

EXTR3MIST 01-20-2005 11:31 AM

Fangoria is better these days, though -

There is less celebratory nonsense toward the anti-hero icons and more down-to-business reports on all aspects of the genre (they would ignore the recent explosion of interest in Far-Eastern horror for example at their peril).

The Dark Side, which is a UK production, is more of a fanzine by comparison - this could be a virtue, but slack editing and lazy, outdated articles have kept this one vitually unread even over here.

Nemesis412 01-20-2005 03:47 PM

I think I know what it is. Loomis. I miss Loomis. He was the man.

If he was still here.......I don't think the series woulda taken a downfall. I mean think about it. Alot of ppl didnt like 7 or 8 and YEP LOOMIS WASNT IN THEM so that answers it.

Michaels Shape 01-21-2005 02:37 PM

It wouldnt have went downhill at all if Loomis was around, or Laurie.

Nemesis412 01-21-2005 02:54 PM

Of course, I mean the whole idea of 8 sucked but if Loomise was there it woulda made the movie sweet. Just him being around has made the movies what they are today. Him and Myers were the only 2 to ever be fully involved in the series.

Cheetara101 01-24-2005 01:53 PM

Dr. Loomis was fantastic... I didn't know who was more obsessive...him or Michael Myers. I miss him...but now Donald Pleasance rest in peace.

Nemesis412 01-24-2005 02:26 PM

Indeed I miss him too he was a wonderful man and a great actor.

May he rest in peace :(

tom-tom 01-27-2005 01:02 AM

Lets face facts, guys, there is never going to be a halloween sequel that will outclass the original no matter how many sequels...so why bother. Even though i think Micheal Myers is so fucking cool, i think they should just leave him alone...or at least put a new spin on the halloween tale to make it fresh again.
Any opinions?

I'll be happy as long as Halloween 9 DOESN'T involve Busta Rymes trying to do kung fu on Micheal again!

You know, for a guy who makes his living with his voice, I really wished he'd either spoken disticntly or shut up entirely.

Cheetara101 01-28-2005 06:33 AM

I agree. I like Busta Rhymes ....just as long as he stays in the rap game. Acting is NOT his forte. The sequels will never capture the pure evil essence of the original.

Season Of The Witch was an ok story. The only reason that it is disliked so much is because it has nothing remotly to do with Micheal Myers...John Carpenter meant Mr Myers to remain dead after Halloween II and wanted to release more different scary movies under the halloween tittle.

alkytrio666 04-26-2005 03:22 AM

Hey, where're you guys getting your information on 9 from? Hook me up. Thanks.

crazy raplh 04-26-2005 03:43 AM

they should have Jamie come back to life and kill Micheal once and for all. do you all think he would be a good fight for Jason Vorhees?

Any of them cant die anyway....

crippler666 04-29-2005 05:43 PM

Put Tommy back in raising Michael's nephew, Michael was killing off all of his family...

Was I the only person who was surprised to see Jamie Lee Curtis DIE in Ressurrection?

I never judge a film on it's merits or as good as it could have been... how bad could it have been with The Rock in it? Suddenly Busta doesn't sound so bad (The Rock does a Rock Bottom on Michael)
