I liked Sixth Sense, I'll admit it. And I also liked Unbreakable...although I think that both could be better made. You can just make a movie and totally depend on a surprise ending to save the story for you. It gets old real quick. But I liked those first two films.

Signs.....ah man I dont even want to get started. And The Village....I didnt heed any warnings because I just had to get my own opinion of it. And I wish i hadnt.

I think the problem is that these studios are promoting these movies as big horror fests. Audiences arrive at the theater expecting suspense and to be scared shitless. What they get is the exact opposite. A hand full of shit and a wallet that is 7-12 bucks thinner.

All in all I hate that bastard and hope he doesnt make any more movies so I dont have to sit through the big production hype knowing its a piece of shit. Although I like 2 out of 4 of his movies, put me down for hate.

He's okay. It seems like he's trying too hard to be Alfred Hitchcock

My guy really really loves his movies, in fact, he's his fav director (and mine is Tim Burton) I think that Shymalan's movies scare different types of people, like if you're the kind that is paranoid about ghosts living amongst your home(or should I say not living?) or if you're the type that has a super fear of aliens, my guy is afraid of aliens to the extream and he loves Signs because it scares the crap out of him also, I am afraid of ghosts so I think that the Sixth Sence can be creepy, yet touching a heart breaking. so I love it

that's just my opinion

Well if this is just a free for all then I have to voice my opinions on Signs and Unbreakable

Signs- I adored it. The thing is, I saw Signs and 6th Sense before I got into horror. This shit scared the hell out of me, and Im not normally scared of aliens. That one scene with the TV video of the party and the alien walks in the background scared me so bad. I havent seen it since I really really got into horror so I dont know if it would still hold up.

Unbreakable- Pure, stinking, horrible, pointless SHIT. I love Bruce Willis, I really do, but what the hell was he thinking.

THERE WAS NO POINT TO THE MOVIE. there wasnt a message or an ending or a story at all. jesus I hated that movie.

hate

another m night movie hyped beyond existence

not scary and not a suprising ending like everyone says

orangestar 08-14-2004 06:45 AM

Im watching Signs right now, and I've decided that its actually pretty scary. I'm not afraid of aliens, but I am pretty terrified of something or someone being in my house, especially something that my dad cant even kill.

So 2/3 of the movies I've seen by him are 8/10s.
