Wasn’t this on Netflix? I swear I saw it there but can’t find it now.

Also I’ve scrolled by All the boys love Mandy lane and thought it looked familiar. I started watching it and I definitely watched it when it came out. This is my style movie, kinda “happy birthday to me”ish, haven’t gotten to the ending yet and I don’t remember how it plays out.

Yep, It Follows was on Netflix for awhile, but it's gone.

Peaking at Netflix, these are pretty good post 2010 films:

Train to Busan - well done Korean zombie
The Conjuring - scary late 70's-ish
Hush - bit Hitchcockian
The Babysitter (good first 3/4th, bit of a 80's homage)

Post 2000s
The Cell
Cloverfield

Not Netflix: Vacancy, Dead Silence, The Ring 2002, Ouija: Origin of Evil

It Follows was on a Premium Channel last I checked. We'll see what horror movies go up on those channels in the next week or so. I don't use Netflix yet but I will eventually. I saw some good horror movies and shows in their recent teaser trailer.

A premium channel?

I think the conjuring is one of the decent movies I couldn’t remember the name of. I watched the babysitter recently and it was entertaining enough, definitely had 80s vibe.

did you see Train to Busan or Hush yet? Based on your likes, I think you'll dig em. The prior is fast paced, modern and funny, but subtitles.

Not yet, I’m actually just now about to try and finish Mandy lane. Hopefully tomorrow I can check one of them out if they’re on Netflix, YouTube, or tubi.

Sculpt- it actually just registered to me that subtitles is out for now. Probably sound silly but I’m only watching these movies when I’m on the treadmill. I definitely couldnt keep up.

I looked at hush and I’ve seen it but I don’t remember much. Might rewatch.

Just finished Mandy lane. Cool movie.

Yeah, totally. I can't watch subtitled films if I'm eating or snacking. Probably be tough even if you were just doing a treadmill, you have to glue your eyes unflinchingly to the bottom of the screen.

I don't like watching subtitled films in general because you can't just watch the whole screen like the director intended it. Busan was an 'easy read', by the way, short and generally infrequent dialogue. So when you can just end your night with Netflix, it's a fun watch.

What I liked about Hush was that basically everything the film shows you is there for a purpose. That's generally textbook for making films, but for horror fans, especially cheaper horror, we know there's a ton of meaningless shoots and items. So it was cool to see a film with Hitchcockian detail.

Oh I gotcha, I don’t have them.

I did just watch The Final Girls. It’s was entertaining enough but more of a spoof than horror.
