I saw Jaws on TNT when I was 8 years old and had to sleep in my parents room for a week. I was even afraid to go in my basement. Looking back, that part didn't make very much sense.

Maybe your basement was a secret portal to shark infested waters ::wink::

Oh, Lordy, the scariest .... that's a hard one! I have to dig deep and think about what used to scare me back in the day ... and what has scared me recently (so the dates might be all over the place haha).

George Romero's 'Dead' movies, IDK, they just scared the crap out of me!

The Silence of the Lambs

Arachnophobia- because I am arachnophobic LOL, holy crap, my skin crawled for a week after seeing that!

Insidious movies- Yes, yes I know they are rather new, but geeze! I don't know why but they had me pretty creeped out.

The first 'SAW'. I love how the whole movie was essentially filmed backwards.

Deliverance- Yikes just .... yikes!

+1 deliverance - im glad im not alone in that
Saws 1&2 were really good
but
Hostel has to be one of the most scary ive ever seen in my adult life
28 days later was also gripping

Night of the Living Dead, something about everything going wrong so suddenly in the world just terrifies me.
