It came with a VHS caseette for you to play on your VHS player. I still use mine to record films off TV.

Yes, i got that part. But how well does it work combined with a board game? Don't you have to fast forward and rewind all the time?

No-it was specifically designed with the VHS in mind so the only time you have to rewind it is when you start a new game so it's easier to just rewind the game as soon as you finish so you don't have to when you play your next game. You could fast forward it (or rewind) during the game but that would be cheating lol.
