Something like this, but i shall use the colours black and white, and have something scary there.

What material? Steel?

I'm a casemodder myself if you need any tips. As far as a pattern, good luck. You're on your own there.

you doing the monitor and the tower? aint no big deal other than yuo have to sand the thingand prime, all after masking off the important parts that is

if yuor just doing it black thats one thing but if yuo want to be bad ass youd need an airbrush.

im asuming your using acrylic paint hardest thing is to keep it from not chipping. obviously 1 layer is ok but the more layers (as in more details) most likely itll chip

which si the reasoning for the airbrush, keep the layers as thin as possible.

so are you actually going to pain like with a brush or what? doing a collage or something?

Wait.. a girl case modder?

bwind22 05-27-2004 02:35 PM

okay now im confused.

are you painting the actual computer casing?

or are you painting the carrying case you use to transport your computer?

the picture you posted looked like a painted suitcase so i thought you meant the travel case for a laptop, but the replys you are getting lead me to believe other people are thinking you are painting the non mechanical parts of the computer itself.

Voorhees 05-28-2004 05:48 AM

To everyone; the problem is not how to paint it, I have painted computers before, but I need some suggestion's on what motives I can use...

fluffho 05-28-2004 12:33 PM

but how are you planning on doing it? chalk, airbrush what?

Voorhees 05-28-2004 02:50 PM

Spraypaint. Effective and cheap, and the result is excellent if you are careful.

fluffho 05-28-2004 04:44 PM

ok maybe for the black part but how are you going to do the art part. i mean graffiti is one thing but trying to make something that actually looks cool especially on just a tower is another

are you planning on masking off parts? which is why i brought up the airbrush same smooth coverage as the spray paint however yuo get to control the air/paint flow more effecively

well i dunno at least last time i checked the only spray cans we have are the ones with the big ass spray but maybe ther are smaller ones that can be more easily controled...?

Freddy Krueger. 05-29-2004 04:21 AM

Freddy's claws. On the part you see while looking at the screen, like the top part, you can draw (pain, whatever) his claws, as if he's sneaking his hand down it. But, since your a Jason fan, you may want to paint Jason's mask on one side, and the end of his machete on the other. Make the machete the actualy size, make it look real. So, instead of drawing the entire machete, draw like part of it running up the side. For example: hold your arm out straight and say its the machete. Say the shoulder is the handle and the hand is the tip of the blade. Put your hand near the side of the computer. From your elbow up is blade, but not the begining of the blade, just blade. This depends on the size of your computer. Start off with the tip of the blade and go down till you reach the end. If you drew it small to fit the handle on it, then it wouldnt look very real. On the other side you can draw white slash and hack marks, as if someone hacked at it and light is flowwing throgh the slash/hack marks. Like a closed door in a dark house where the victom is hiding. the manic stabs his knife or whatever through the door and sun ligh comes out through the hole. Y'know.

Just ideas...

I reckon Freddys claws "coming thru" the tower, and the silhouette of the hand and arm "behind" it, so I guess a solid background might make it more effective.

If, and probably only IF you were into transformers, you could kinda rework the deceptecon logo, make it a little longer than the original to cover more space, do it on top of a black (or if you could paint good enough, night sky) backing and draw some purple lightning through it...Not that it's horror, but I think it's pretty cool...

As for horror, I'm drawing a blank....cep't maybe for one bit. If you wanted to, you could design it so it looked like it had blood (just make sure it aint ketchup looking shit) dripping over the top, I guess you could put that over whatever pic you choose...

I'm out...
