The first, definitely. The second had better/more elaborate/graphic deaths, but the first had a sense of style that could not be re-created. I loved the first Final Destination and it's still one of the best "teen" horror movies of that generation, in my opinion at least.

I thought so. People were just scared and jumped and screamed during part one, while people just laughed during part two at the cinema. I don't think 2 is played as serious or realistic as part one. Maybe that's just me then? I didn't mean it was an out and out comedy but more a dark comedy, especially the silly ending.

The 1st one

I've only seen parts of the first one, so I can't really comment. I liked the dark humor aspect of FD2, but it was still a sub-par movie IMHO.

First one was scarier, but FD2 just entertained me soooo much and had a lot better gore.

The first one get some brownie points because it has Tony Todd saying something to the effect of "and you dont wanna fuck with that Mack Daddy" funny stuff.

kind of a tie for me.
