One guideline which everyone should follow. If you are not true to yourself, you really shouldnt even live.
I myself have found out and learnt a lot of things the hard way...
Everything doesnt always go your way...so if "this doesnt happen, that doesnt happen", take a deep breath and move on...
Enjoy the smaller moments of happiness - smiles shared by family and friends can help ease out the worst of pains and the toughest of situations.
Try to find some good in everything...remember, it can always be a LOT worse than it actually is.
The best people in your life are those who stick by you no matter how much shit you throw in their direction...realise their worth, and learn to value their existence in your daily life.
Last but the most important, realise your OWN mistakes. A lot of people say that they do, but in truth, very few people will stand up and say "I was wrong in this..." Its something to do with the egos - either sex - and somehow a human always manages to shift the blame on others. The one who admits to his own shit, is someone who can always live with himself...no matter what the situation.
A tough moral for today's world, but very worthwhile.
