That was the only part I enjoyed about The Messenger. There was one scene where Gilles character showed massive sadism, a grim picture of things to come. I thought it was cool as hell that they stuck that in the movie. The rest of it I remember being an abomination.

As far as Beane goes, most historians now think he wasn't real. I believe his clan is what The Hills Have Eyes is based on.

Also, Let's not forget Washington Irving!

I actually enjoyed that movie (before I thought Mila Jovovich was just a skinny retard), but I cant remember what you are talking about.
