I think what constitutes a snuff film is death in the sexual act.... not what you see on youtube.

Well, as has already been mentioned in this thread, it's when someone is killed specifically to be filmed- with no other reason. Films of executions, beheadings etc. by groups for any other reason, and the filming was incidental to the act, would not be snuff. The only reason for the death is so that it could be filmed.

There is no 'official meaning' but the one most used is as Neverending said ' some one killed solely for the purpose of the film' and I'd also included 'with the intention to supply for profit..'

And yeah LOL@Henry Lee Lucas - what did he kill like 300 people. Some of which he killed in states at opposite ends of the country at almost the same time..I wonder how many killers are free because of his convienant confessions.

I'm guessing a lot of people who claim to have seen snuff film get all the mondo flicks confused with snuff films.

I have a few too but it was kinda hard to get in Ireland - could u check to see if you have that one with the porn star/hooker who claims to be involved with the RED HAND. I'd love a scan of it...

Defianally true about the Mondo Stuff but I did work with a guy who claimed to have seen a few Snuff films and tolf me that the people in it had terminal diseases..lol
