They wouldn't be playing right if you didn't leave feeling like that :)

Neil Young being to artsy? Fuck that. Gimme the Dead Man soundtrack or Sleeps With Angels over Harvest/Rust Never Sleeps any day. His music will never tire or die because of it's diversity, honesty and integrity. There's WAY more to Neil Young than that greatest hits shtik*

the thing is...it was my first time seeing him.....I wanted some kick ass Powderfinger, Hurricane,Heart of Gold, Cinnamon Girl,Hey Hey My My,Rocking in the Free World,Southern Man....ect..ect..Have you heard GREENDALE......not one of his best albums.

Greendale is a killer album. Grandpa's Interview is an amazing song. He mainly pulls out tunes like Hurricane when he tours with Crazy Horse.

I went to ACDC during their thunderstruck tour. My ears rang for two days - it was great. I have tickets for GWAR and Metallica - they'll be here in the next couple of months. Disturbed is doing a concert the day before Metallica - I may have to quit my job to get the days off.

Elvis_Christ 09-26-2008 09:58 AM

GWAR and Metallica would be great shows. How come you'll have to quit your job? Can't you ring in sick?

Entirely possible.

Last time I saw them (seen them 3 times!) I had a hard time sleeping because the ringing in my ears was actually keeping me awake.

Thunderstruck is awesome live, but For Those About to Rock (with the flashpots and the cannons) feels quite literallty like a punch in the gut.

Have fun!

hmmm - earplugs may be in order ... we're bringing our son to this one as well ... (he actually has a 'for those about to rock' t-shirt to wear there :)

I remember taking my youngest to his first...he was 8...it was a SKYNYRD/ ZZ TOP concert.

Do they play much off Powerage these days? Sin City and Kicked In The Teeth are epic! Can't fuck with Downpayment Blues either.
