I've heard that Ales is really good, from many different people. I have never seen it around here in these parts though. I will have to look for it when I go out of town. Oh yeah what about Iron City ? Anyone ever had that? I love trying new beers though so keep some suggestions comming, thanks.

Liquor my favorite is Crown Royal(I could drink a 5th by myself in a hour), Captin Morgan, SoCo.

I think I may be doing a little drinking tonight :D

And I LOVE American Micro Brew Ales and Bitters like Wild Goose, Stone, Sprecher, Bert Grant, Anderson Valley, Bob Tupper, Harpoon, Mendocino and Rogue breweries. All great stuff.

As a highly educated beer nerd I can say without equivocation the America makes some of the best beers in the world (on par with England, Germany and Belgium) Please don't hold Bud, Miller or Coors against us...that shit is the byproduct of the post-prohibition industrialization of the beer business and a clear violation of what beer is supposed to be:

fresh, local and ever-changing

Right on brother.....we have some great brews.

Stones-- IPA, ARROGANT BASTARD
Long Trail--IPA, DOUBLE BAG,HIBERNATOR
Sam Adams--DOUBLE BOCK,OCTOBERFEST
Rouge--Dead Guy Ale
Otter Creek--Octoberfest,IPA
Bear Republic--Hop Rod Rye,Red Rocket Ale

I had Bailey's Caramel Irish Creme last night. Good stuff.

I tried that Chill, it's ok, not going to be buying it again though anytime soon.

I still like Corona and Rollin Rock.

I tried one of these ales this afternoon, pretty nice it's from Yorkshire, it's also linked to some crime writing festival.

Old Peculiar is a fine ale and from my home county too! If you liked that try Wobbly Bob if you ever have the good fortune to stumble across it :)

I used to partake of both Wobbly Bob and Old Peculiar on a regular basis in my youth, nowadays i'm partial to the finest Irish stout ...

I had plenty of Guiness on Saturday, five pints in 2 and a half hours while I watched The mighty magpies cruise through to the semi finals.

Is Wobbly Bob a hard one to find?

I'm missing this one from back home, but the choice of different ones to try in the U.K is making up for it some what...
