I hate diets!!!

Em not a big eater anyway..in fact em very sparratic with my eating habits
and this is why (i am told)..I am gaining weight.. :D
oh and the odd pizza..3 days a week..with my coke..along with my meat pie and snickers is also contributing to m dilemma.
'whispers..and my love of laziness' :o

Stop drinking soda. Too much sugar and sodium. I used to drink way too much soda, like a 2 litre a day. Drink ice cold water, alot of it.

I lost 30 pounds by doing this. Of course I have peaked at my weight loss and cant seem to lose anymore weight than I already have. I do cardio and 100 crunches a day(THEY SUCK!!!!!)

I tried South Beach. Pretty simple and you eat alot but sooner or later the junk creeps its way back in.

Really simple diet, and I lost every inch of fat off me:

-no processed sugar
-no caffiene
-no carbanated drinks of anykind
-and try to avoind any deep fried foods

It really wasn't that bad.
I was hooked on some of this crap, and now that the weight is gone, I'm so used to not eating these things that when I do, I don't eat it often enough to gain anything.
Loosing almost 30 pounds was worth it.
Believe it or not, that's a lot for me.

I never bothered with dieting

I have been wanting to lose 20lbs or so and it is so hard. I never feel like working out and I am definately the type that needs to work out at least 3-4 times a week. I used to work out everyday for 5 years when I worked as a fitness trainer at a gym and now I slack. I eat healthy but I tend to eat late at night before bed which is bad and I think my portions are a little bigger than the should be, plus the beers the evil beer calories add up. Exercise and healthy food in healthy portions is the key.

This is from experience...
Get alot of bloodwork done first.
Check your thyroid, adrenal glands and lymphatic system.
Make sure you're not allergic to gluten or other foods (cow's milk, soy, etc.) as well.

I lost a pile of weight really fast after the baby (oh yeah, you KNOW I was loving life:) ) and then started gaining an astonishing amount of weight within weeks (bloated tick comes to mind:D ).
Turns out the changes my body went thru during pregnancy really screwed my system up.
I ended up with adrenal fatigue and I am gluten intolerant, even though I have never had any problems with bread products before.
The funny things babies do to our bodies:eek:

Oh course I had other symptoms but didn't notice till I got FAT:D

Also: I looked up a bunch of diets on-line and the best, most-healthy was the Macrobiotic diets.
I can't get on this until I stop breast-feeding but it will be something I will do because of the anti-aging factor alone!

Macrobiotics is great. My sister-in law does this and I have taken a lot of recipes from her. It is not hard and it makes a lot of sense.

Try this, my mother lost about 5-10lbs just by switching her daily beverages. Drink nothing but water. I normally drink nothing but green tea with citrus(sp), salad, and grilled/baked chicken. Once a week I have steak to reward myself.

I am happier after changing my diet. I have cut out fast foods, snacks and fizzy drinks (well I have the odd diet one but the aspartame is evil) and have learned to cook proper meals. I have lost weight and am almost half way to my target weight :D Its difficult sometimes when you have to always check your food and you cant eat out with friends. It has been worth it in the long run I feel better and I hope to increase my fitness in order to climb the beautiful mountains that look in through my window, without having a heart attack lol.

I've never had any problems at all. You honestly don't have to change your eating habit significantly, just exercise on a routine basis. I just do marching band, which is extreme cardio (way more than most people believe, look it up. It's more pressure than football/soccer/etc)
