My greatest fear is being commited to a mental institution. As someone who pursues nightmares for a livivng I stare ino the darkness of my own psyche a great deal - I have learned to revel in it - but I fear slipping into the abyss.

To be locked up by people who simply do not believe you are competent o make your own decisions - horrifying.

Then you must be TERRIFIED of getting old.

I only hope that when the Denver spider catches me, he'll kill me quickly, and not force me to listen to his greatest hits and eat falafel....or dandelion stew....or organic WHEAT GERM.....

I have a fear of disfigurement. the number 1 thing that made me cringe in hostel was the chainsaw lopping off his fingers...

I am a writer, programmer, bass player... Everything i enjoy doing is with my hands, plus i have a VERY strong sense of identity.. If anythign took that away i would lose it.

Back on topic again...

For me it's not being able to move, i'm not claustraphobic and can take small spaces no problem, but if i can't move at all... especially my head... that scares the shit out of me. It's hard to explain because it's not a feeling of being trapped, pinned down or imprisoned, i can handle that, as long as i can still move my head. It's the not being able to move at all that freaks me out, that really hits the panic button big time :eek:

Gmork! lol...Other than childhood fears, I don't like heights, other than that, nothing. Maybe losing a loved one or dying alone.
