I've never really had the shyness problem. I've learned if you start a conversation with someone, most people take it up gladly....at least that's been my personal experience. And I'd say 90 percent of people are okay to have a conversation with, especially older people. They have fascinating things to tell sometimes, and they're usually very glad to have an attentive audience.
You learn a lot that way.

Try spending less time in front of a computer screen on the internet, and doing more wholesome things.

I find most people very easy to talk to. The strange thing is, as I get older I find myself wanting to be friendly less & less. I wass a bartender for years, a waiter before that. I used to love talking to all the people I met. I don't know; the older I've gotten, the more I'd just rather stay home and read a book or play a video game and the such.
