Camomile tea is meant to do the job, I find any kinda tea relaxing...mint is great too, although it does have a slightly invigorating effect.
The bath idea is ok, but I'd add essence of sandalwood.
Those two, and a fat toke on a fatter joint should about have you covered. Glad to provide a responsible solution for you.;)

I finally managed to get to sleep around 3:30, and I slept until 9. So I got a pretty good nights sleep eventually.

There is always the old standby, warm milk--usually helps a person get to sleep. If that sounds a little icky, add some malt-flavored Ovaltine to that, kinda flavor it up a little bit. Also, listen to some violent rap music. No wait. That's for waking up. Scratch that last bit.
