Wow. I knew I was right. Emo is one of the most misused terms in the history of pop culture and music as we know it. Most of the time it is used as labeling a band that's "emo". These bands would regularly fall under the pop-rock/pop-punk/(bad) post-hardcore genres.

None of which I obviously listen to if you regular the music section of the site.
