The mods are rarely here any more (when's the last time anyone saw Arioch ?). I'd say give Zwoti more mod power over other forums or elect some new mods in their absence who are here like Urge or Cheeba.

Yeah this spamming is getting pretty ridiculous, but I actually dont mind this particular one. I've been trying to search out some sort of online zombie game for a few months now and have come up empty handed so I will actually probably check this out.

Hey deposable, if I decide to sign up, we should team up to form an invincible duo of Horror.com zombie hunters.

Captpopular 08-03-2005 01:57 AM

Yeesh!
Did you even go to the site? It's not spam.
It's not my website, nor is it a website which I am affiliated with.
I'm only posting a link to an online zombie game. Don't you guys like zombies?

In case anyone actually joins up and starts hunting zombies and you run into a Tom Nobody, that's me.

Deposable 08-03-2005 02:35 AM

I could have guessed you were Tom Nobody

Oh, we love zombies! We just don't like spam zombies.

Spammers are typically people who show up and with, say, fewer than 10 posts, begin hawking a site for various reasons. Quite often they claim to be people who just "found" a site and want to "share" the "goodness" of the site with the other message board folks.

I'm sure it's a misunderstanding and you're not just pimping some site. But surely you can also see how easy it would be for folks hereabouts to get that impression from your post.

"You bring a can opener?"

"No, I guess I didn't!"

"Then don't knock it. It's got its own key."

Hey, my bad. I was bored at work a few days ago and found the game. This happened to coincide with a film festival here that was showing a lot of underground horror movies. So there I was looking for info on some of the movies and found myself here. Then I thought, hey, I bet these people would be interested in that zombie site I found...

btw, my real last name does translate into nobody.

bwind22 08-03-2005 05:39 AM

I checked it out and signed up a guy (B Wind). The game itself isn't bad and it's so fucking massive that I believe this guy when he says he isn't the one responsible for the site. Whoever is behind that game probably doesnt have time to troll forums to pick up a single visitor here and there.

This game/website gets my stamp of approval.

I also can declare this thread non-spam. The guy's just showing us a cool game that he correctly thought some of us might be interested in.

The city in the game is like 100 blocks with 9 buildings per block or something like that! There are hundreds (Probably thousands) of other real people playing as survivors within the game, roaming the streets and fighting off zombies. You can also choose to play as a zombie if you so desire. The more stuff you do (Fighting, building, etc...) The more your points go up and the more battle hardened you become.

I only had time to go to the site for about 20 minutes but it looked like a cool game.

I suggest we start a Horror.com team and take over a few square blocks of the city, killing any humans or zombies that come into striking range.

Captpopular 08-03-2005 04:13 PM

That is what i am talking about! I say we take over a few blocks and see what happens, I recommend fireman and medics as good characters to start off as, because firemen have axes and medics have pistols and the ability to heal. Tom Nobody is currently in New Arkham and my other character, Buddy Cianci is...somewhere. Probably dead actually.

beware the tombie.

btw- pelvic thrust to all those who thought I was a spammer.
