Well, "The Matrix" isn't a "GOOD" movie; it's a "COOL" movie.

There's a difference.

In the movie Anaconda, we see Sarone get crushed in the grasp of the giant anaconda, and on the close up on his face we see a bone dislocated in his jaw or cheek. Then he gets swallowed up. Later he gets spit back up and he winks at that girl. OK, so maybe that was pretty noticeable, but I just wanted to bring it up. I haven’t seen Anaconda 2, but I hope he somehow comes back. He was a good actor. Good character.

The movie Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn was suppose to be a remake of The Evil Dead, but Bruce called it the, quote, unquote, “the mother of all sequels.” And not a remake. At the end Ash is sent back in time where he kills a flying demon with his shotgun. Then the soldiers bow down before him, believing he is the one destined to fall from the sky and save them from the evil. But in Army of Darkness we see Ash locked up and walking in capture through a desert.

some of the old westerns have power lines in them. my friends say that they are telegraph lines, and some of them are susposed to be, but sometimes you can see the transformers.

apparently in Lord of the Rings, a car in the far distance reflecting the light of the sun could be seen in a shot .. but it was removed for the DVD.

I have a pretty good 4 disc screener - i'll look for it one day.
this one is a fact though .. not an urban myth .. jackson commented on it publicly.

The new dawn of the dead has both Peter and Roger from the original in cameos, as well as Tom Savini.

Also, notice both movies have a large black cop and a small blonde woman as lead characters, and a douchebag with the name "Steve" (or stephen).

Dog soldiers is full of references, i have named them before, but i will name them again if someone asks.

Some movies have interesting themes.

The original Star wars movies were based loosely on WW2. The Evil Empire is based on the Nazis. Both armies called their soldiers "Stormtroopers"

Aliens was actually based on a Vietnam War theme. Jim Cameron said it himself: A small group of soldiers sent far away from home to fight against a technologically inferior foe, and get their asses handed to them.

themes also came from the kurosawa film Hidden Fortress (as in Death Star) as well as 2 samurai characters that became the model for c3po and r2d2.
I read that the concept of 'the force' was from another movie i have .. a japanese anime film called 'the Lensman' or something like that where there are a race of people who share a collective conciousness throught these lenses on their hands.

carrie: ending scens with sue snell walking up to the burnt house, you can see a car going backwards in the background

the ring: first time woman enters house we briefly see a photo of the cabin on the wall which tells us the movie will end there, and then the more obvious hints

aha - forshadowing .. we could have a whole thread on that alone ...
sometimes its too in your face - something is mentioned one two many times or is featured a little too prominantly but when its done well its fun to revisit the film and see where everything fits in..

Other backwards scenes:

Return of the Jedi. In one scene i jabba's hut (haha), if you watch closely, there is a pan down from Jabba to Salacious crumb. The smoke from his hookah is flowing back into it.

In Goldeneye, when the false lake drains towrds the end of the movie, they played footage of it filling up, backwards.
