I think about that a lot lately for many reasons. My perception of it is it's more likely to hurt like hell.

Well what I meant is whichever way I die, I'm almost guaranteed it's gonna hurt. After that we'll just have to see...

I imagine ill be thinking "are these my last words? do i have nothing more to say".....

I saw that in an anime once and it really hit home for some reason.....

I don't think it'll hurt all THAT much, I'm almost sure you'll realise its about to happen/happening...I DON'T think it'll be an INSTANT transfer...maybe the VERY last moment will be like that tho...?
Will you lose any senses first do you think?
Will the death itself be preempted by you wondering why you can't hear or see all of a sudden?

...so many possibilities.
I'm not looking foward to dying, but then again, in death I can find the knowledge that eludes me in life...at least I'll know, or, not know...I guess at least I'll stop wondering...I am rather eager to have the EXPERIENCE of death, not knowing what comes after, I cannot say I look foward to the "being dead" part...

as for the question, I'd prefer to think my exact moment of death would involve me thinking "Man, I couldn't possibly take anymore oral sex from these 37 asian porn stars"

My last words will probably be 'Hey fellas watch this.' Seriously I think it is just a transition into another life and I think it will be an interesting trip. My only hope is that I finish the things the Gods want me to do here.
