Honestly, there are talks of a sequel, but that's all it really is... Talk. I highly doubt we'll be seeing a sequel with Ash... But another Freddy and Jason collaboration is very possible, given that FvJ was the highest grossing horror flick of all time.

Um.....no it wasn't. It didn't make NEAR what The Sixth Sense or Jaws made.

Sixth Sense and Jaws are thrillers, and I wouldn't count them under horror myself.

FvJ did an ungodly amount of business worldwide, and while the totals aren't available at IMDB, I'd say they stack up quite well anyway to Sixth Sense and Jaws. I do know that it did over 80 mill in the boxoffice in the US... Worldwide probably more, since europe loves Freddy.

Anyway, it was stated in Video Business magazine ( Something you're only going to see if you work at a video store ) That it was indeed the highest grossing horror film of all time.

It's true, it did amazingly well in the US, I remember after a week it had been out, I had the TV in the backround and on the news, I had overheard that the movie has been at the number one spot in america for the past week.

I was like, holy shit, I knew it was good, but I didn't think it was going to be that good that it would own everyother movie out now.

I was very surprised.
