I went into this low budget with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised.
2 intelliegent non-violent undead must go on a road trip thru zombie ridden American to propose to one of their (still living) girlfriends. One of the characters reminded me of a young, not on crack Trevor Philips.
Oh - it's also on netflicks.

I think DeadHeads and The Revenant are two movies who did a good job on refreshing the horror/comedy genre.

I very seldom find any movie bad...but this movie was horrible.

It was entirely horrible. A lot of the recent "Ghost Hunter" movies are.

Haunter (2013)

Very creepy haunted house flick with Abigail Breslin and David Hewlitt...and you don't have to wait until the end for the twist.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 [3D] (2014)

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps5a484ae9.jpg

The overall plot line seems like underdeveloped or needed more reviews or re-writes before even they should started the shooting. I think I've already seen all the major & cool CGI treated action sequences in the trailers, so there were nothing actually more left in that area while I was watching it in the theater yesterday. The "death scene" was cool but expected a lot more moving reactions from Garfield. Overall, not great but not too bad or horrible either.

Autumn Blood (2013)

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...psd71bd3bb.jpg

Great cinematography and almost zero-dialog treatment in the script wasn't a problem but couldn't find the story as a whole much intriguing. But on the halfway through, thought it might going to be another I Spit on Your Grave sort of flick set in high in the mountains but it didn't turn out like that.

The new Robocop.

What a bland, boring movie.
Honestly, I have nothing good to say about it, at all - just that it eventually ended.
Makes the total recall remake look great in comparison.

Totally agree!! Spent around $5 to see it on the theater (as there was nothing 'better' to see) & totally wasted! It won't be too much exaggerating to say I almost grew watching the original over & over again in VHS & TV and surely become one of my favorite all time sci-fi action flicks. So it's really painful to watch when they give this sort of lame treatment just to made some money. There isn't a 'Robocop' actually in this version, IMO...the outlook was just so lame, where we're still fond of the design of original & true Robocop. This time to some extent, this 'Robocop' didn't even look like "Part man - Part Machine" at all! Moreover, how they could ignored that gory & so emotionally moving "shootout/death scene" of Alex Murphy?!? Here they just blow his car right in front of him!?! How f**king lame!!::mad::
And lastly...no catchy lines from the Robocop!...only one they used from the original and that was also poorly placed or untimely, didn't match fit with the scene.

Byzantium

I probably should have watched it during the day. I was asleep about 30 minutes in. I'll give it another try later.

Got a pile of DVDs for a euro each - this was among them. Hadn't seen it since It came out. It still stands up as a pretty decent adaption of Moore's excellent comic. Worth the euro :-)

It's been a while since I've posted here, so here are the last few movies I've seen...

The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps56926ce6.jpg

Loved it. One of Wes Anderson's absolute best. The cast was amazing and the direction, as usual, was whimsical and wonderful. If you're a Wes Anderson fan, then it's absolutely a must-see for you.

The Raid: Redemption (2011)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps49d1b2c8.jpg

I was absolutely blown away by this incredibly tight, well-directed, well-acted, and well-choreographed action flick. Gripping, tense, and some really incredible action sequences. I'm glad that I finally saw this; The director directed my favorite short out of both VHS movies, "Sanctuary;" it was really cool to see his first film. Really psyched to see the second movie (wish I had caught it in theaters!)

I highly recommend this one, guys. Seek it out.

The Battery (2012)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps5dc9030a.jpg

I had a friend recommend this to me as being "one of the best recent horror movies that they have seen in a LONG time"... and... eh... I mean, it wasn't bad, it just didn't knock my socks off like I expected it to with that praise. I think that if you enjoy The Walking Dead, you'd enjoy this as it has more to do with the humdrum of surviving the zombie apocalypse. Honestly, though, I couldn't stand one of the characters (though Jeremy Gardner was fantastic and totally steals the show)... The soundtrack was also killer and I constantly have the song overplaying the trailer stuck in my head...

I think that a lot of people on here will dig it, so please seek it out if you haven't already... I was just a little bored by it and found it so/so. The good news is that it's not just your average run-of-the-mill zombie flick... At least they're trying to do something different...

Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (2008)

Incredibly moving documentary. Bring your box of tissues. I don't want to say much more because I think the less you know, the greater impact it has.
