The only film to feature 4 kings of horror- Price, Karloff, Lorre & Rathbone! I love it!

Two very identical films (even the beginnings are similar) make a great double-bill to introduce my wife to the world of Poe, Corman & Price.

Worst fears have come true. She wants more...

Haha... that's great! Certainly House of Usher was a great masterpiece. Those Richard Matheson scriots weren't pure Poe by any means, but they had true style and real psychological force. Corman's Poe movies are some of the greatest horror films of all time.

Absolutely! If you consider them as a whole as a franchise then CPP is my favorite horror franchise of all time...2nd is Karloff's mad scientist series.:)

How come it'd be your worst fear? that's a great news. As a great horror fan You're now obliged to show every CPP film to her.:D

Imagine the deep, resonating voice of Price's Roderick Usher saying that line which I said. ;)

Unquestionably. That's why we had one more tonight before heading to bed in a bit...

Needless to say, she loved it. For tomorrow, I am thinking Haunted Palace and Tomb of Ligeia.

Metropolis on TCM INCREDIBLE!

I love Tomb of Ligeia. Price is so haunted in that film. One of his finest performances, IMO.
