I don't want our country to suddenly ceased to exist I just wanted to wake up and start giving a damn again because if people are seriously think we have acted like this throughout all of human history they are sadly mistaken because we would have never made it this far without mankind cooperating to some degree. I mean the entire world needs the universe's biggest cup of coffee dumped on it and told to wake the fuck up and stop being self-centered pieces of shit and show some compassion for their fellow man.

EDIT, damn I just realized 3 years later I finally hit my 1,000th post! let's celebrate by looking at a picture of my first-ever mimosa I had yesterday ::big grin::

Yeah it's not that I want my country to be completely destroyed, but I would really love to see that giant ego of ours popped like the oversized balloon that it is. I mean for one thing we have always bragged about being "the most free country in the world" and yet the American government keeps a tighter leash on it's people than we realize. For many years anybody who isn't a rich white heterosexual Christian man has been fighting for the right to not be treated like crap and those battles are still being fought today but nobody wants to admit to that either. There's also a lot of things that we should be doing a better way but we choose not to and I just don't understand it.

But anyways if we did collapse I'm pretty positive that we would still remain a country. I mean those other places I mentioned that had empires like ours are still around too. Even if something happens and the country changes it's name (like Siam becoming Thailand) the people of that country will always still be there... unless of course they are completely wiped out by genocide.

Edit: Oh and congrats!::wink::

Morningriser 08-13-2018 10:42 AM

Yeah the ego is a hell of a thing but once it is stripped away you see what people are truly made of. That's something I really like about psychedelic drugs. When I am tripping it completely tears away my ego and allows me to think clearly without any sort of biased opinions or self-judgement. it basically allows you to see your true self. there's a lot of people in this world that could use a dose of that in their life.

LuvablePsycho 08-14-2018 05:17 AM

I like my new PS4. The system itself isn't as cool as the PS3 was imo but it has some really good games for it. Right now I'm playing Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza 0, and Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition. I'm hoping to buy Yakuza Kiwami 2 once the price drops.

I feel like a Super Deadly Asianese Ninjamurai Dragon Master! ::cool::

Morningriser 08-14-2018 09:24 AM

Wow I feel stupid... This whole time I thought that was Denzel Washington in Black Klansman. It looked just like him and sounded just like him and I could have sworn they advertised him as being in it on TV but it was his son and not him. I know he was in Malcolm X but didn't he also play his son in He Got Game, or was it someone else?

LuvablePsycho 08-14-2018 10:39 AM

I dunno but speaking of Malcolm X... I respect Martin Luther King Jr. a lot more. He wasn't calling white people "the white devil" or encouraging black people to be violent. His belief was basically that we all share the same planet and that we need to learn to get along or else we are going to end up destroying ourselves.

Morningriser 08-14-2018 11:10 AM

Yeah that's actually the message and black klansman. I mean it's based off of a true story and apparently everything happened the way it does in the movie but the main character, working Undercover as a police officer goes to a black panther rally to act as crowd control if things started getting out of hand but the cop actually starts to agree with some of the stuff the guy who is speaking is saying about white people but believes more towards what Martin Luther King taught so one day he sees an ad in the newspaper for recruiting the KKK members and initially just fucking around he calls and start stalking to the leader of the Colorado Springs chapter and then when they want to meet him face-to-face he actually goes and gets permission from his superiors to open an investigation and they get Adam Driver to go in and be the face behind The Voice. They did a really good job of telling it without just slowly making it look like we are these demons. It gave off the message that hate comes from anywhere and everywhere no matter what color you are.

I agree. Racism and other forms of prejudice exists everywhere.

But for something happier my brother's girlfriend is having her baby today. I'm so happy!::smile::

This calls for some appropriate music!

My family is mostly Irish and my brother's girlfriend's family is Italian. I guess that means this is going to be one mouthy little girl that they will be raising. ::big grin::

I got a really weird spark of inspiration last night while watching Family Guy. It was the episode where James Woods invites everyone to his mansion to apologize and the female news lady kills a bunch of people. For some reason I felt inspired and have started coming up with some ideas in my head for a new book about an old man who is extremely rich and he is either dying or has just died. He owns a huge mansion in the Alaskan wilderness where there is nothing for at least 100 miles in any direction except for dense wilderness. The man he has called for his children, two adult males and two adult females, and his grandson from a daughter who died a few years previously. His children were always extremely greedy and we're never nice to him or even had anything to do with him and his elderly years other than trying to get money from him but his grandson who is there always loved and appreciated him. So basically if he is still alive he is going to be there to tell them that he is dying and he has brought them there to choose who will receive his fortune as he is only giving it to one of them. since he knows they have always treated him terribly and were only concerned about his money he tells them that the money is hidden in the mansion and whoever gets to it and can successfully get off the property with it can have it. his children are so greedy that things are going to get really out of hand but that's really all I have so far other than the fact that all of his kids except for the daughter who died were adopted because when the old man was younger he was lonely and he knew women would only take advantage of him so instead of getting married he just adopted the kids but none of them know they were adopted. The daughter who was his came from a woman he fell in love with, the only woman he ever loved but shortly after his daughter was born, The mother died in a car crash. as a coincidence, The daughter also died in a car crash.

Kind of reminds me of an episode in The Twilight Zone called "The Masks", except in that story even the grandchildren of the old man were greedy monsters just like his daughter and her husband. Of course as is the cliche in all these types of stories he brought them to his mansion in his final moments to get his revenge on them for being so greedy.

Morningriser 08-15-2018 02:24 PM

I think I have a rough general idea of how it ends but I don't want to say anything else because I probably said too much already. Big brother is always watching...

One more incident and you're done and that's just coming from me. I can't speak for the other moderators

You're over a day late, I've moved on from this and already learned my lesson without being told again.

Being told again? I don't see any other responses from other moderators since you started trouble again

MovieLover12 08-15-2018 06:02 PM

There wouldn't any further messages as they hadn't told me again. It was I that knew what would have happened had I carried on again and stopped as I want to be here.

So then you weren't told again. I can't read your mind and since no one has said anything to you about your behavior sinde this last incident, I stepped in. This happened after I already told you on a separate issue to just let it go and now you're starting with me again.

Unless you are referring to a few pages back when cheeba got after him, no one else has gotten after him and I have ignored him for the most part but one of those messages you quoted him in kind of set me off but I have tried to keep my cool. It's not my place to say anything.

I meant after he started with you, no moderators said anything after that so what he said made no sense

Morningriser 08-15-2018 07:37 PM

So far nothing he has said has made any sense. As far as I know I was being nice to him and I don't even know what he was talking about which is why I think he was just at rolling.

cheebacheeba 08-16-2018 12:41 AM

Everyone.
New leaf. Right now.
This is dominating a conversation where some people want to just come and actually talk a bit of random shit and not dredge up the past.

Move forward and top dwelling on this shit...it's done...either lessons have been learned or they haven't been.
I am sick of coming in here to read all this back and forth.

I don't want to have to erase the whole thread, but I will if I need to.
I don't want to have to give anyone a time out, but I will if I need to.

The only replies I want to see to this are that you all understand, or, nothing at all.

Thank you.

I've heard a lot of funny play on words involving Chinese food, mostly General Tso's chicken jokes but I've never heard anyone call it Sesame Street chicken before hahaha with that said I have always been a big fan of lo mein, crab rangoon and egg rolls although I am not very hard to satisfy when it comes to Chinese food.

I do too, especially since I work in a stuffy warehouse with no A/C or fans

LuvablePsycho 08-16-2018 12:58 PM

Yeah I hate summer too! I live in Florida so you can imagine how hot it gets here in the summer time, plus my face tends to break out really bad when I'm outside in the heat I think I must have rosacea like my mom does.

Love Chinese food. I don't think I've tasted anything I haven't like so far. I especially like crabragoon, pressed duck, egg rolls and general tso's chicken.

I think my favorites are sesame chicken, general tso's chicken, orange chicken, egg drop soup, and Thailand-style coconut shrimp. I also like getting a big plate of crawdaddies whenever I go to a Chinese food buffet but that's not exactly a uniquely Chinese dish.

Morningriser 08-16-2018 03:39 PM

There is a Chinese restaurant near where I used to live at in Virginia and it was the best Chinese place I ever ate at and I've eaten at Chinese restaurants all over the country. their honey chicken was absolutely to die for and they had a lobster lo mein where it was mostly Lobster meat but they also put shrimp and other meats in it and everything they made was homemade except for probably the egg rolls. I mean they didn't fuck around at that place.

The Villain 08-16-2018 05:52 PM

Submitted a book i wrote to my number one choice for publisher....got rejected.

So pretty bummed about that, weighing my options now. I sent it somewhere else but havent heard anything. Considering doing Create Space on Amazon.

The best Chinese Restaurant I ever ate at was a place called New Hong Kong in my hometown in Georgia. They had the best sesame chicken and their teriyaki chicken skewers had a delicious sweet red sauce. My whole family would go there to eat all the time.

Sadly the place closed down some time ago. ::sad::

It's actually hard finding a good Chinese restaurant. One place I ate at I actually found a roach cooked into my food which was completely disgusting!
