You have no idea how exciting this photo is to me.
I love renovating buildings/houses in my mind as a way of calming myself .
(not wierd, just more creative than counting to 10:) )

I have a least 2 weeks worth of tranquility here......

And, gee, THANKS for spawning America. AWESOME. :p

Yeh, the statue is about a 5-10 minute walk and the priory is just a tad longer.

@ Festered
Actually the artists in Baltimore are pretty scattered over several neighborhoods since the art school sits next to a bad area, but I don't think any artist in their right mind would want to live there. It's really just too dangerous. I've had my car vandalized several times and I live in a "nice" area.

@Nova
Baltimore has gone under a huge revitalization over the last decade with previously seedy areas are now hot metropolitan spots and there are new neighborhoods being revitalized as we speak. If you want to rehab old homes, Baltimore is really the town for it.

Yeah, I wanted to see the 'Red Light District' passing through this summer and now there are hardly ANY whores at all.:(

But onto being serious, I love when older cities decide to renew and renovate, it's a beautiful thing:)

You remember the picture of the priory I posted? Pretty scary actually, one of my towns many Polish people was killed there a few days ago. Down at the river for which my town is named, a dead body was found after he fell in and another guy was strangled then hanged off a bridge before that. It's all going tits up here!
